The patch set is almost independ of the other part of the system.
It doesn't affect stability of the system without loading the
firewire modules.
(The cam-related patch has already been in 4-branch for a half year.)

Julian, what kind of problem do you have with 4.7?
My (a month-old) 4.6-STABLE box works fine.

Any objection to MFC?
