Hi, since I run gnome2 I cannot change to and fro my text console anymore (by [ctrl] + [alt] + [F1] resp. [alt] + [F9]); the X server will be killed with this message: ------------------------------------------ The application 'gnome-session' lost its connection to the display :0.0; most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application. X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown). The application 'nautilus' lost its connection to the display :0.0; most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application. X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown). The application 'gnome-panel' lost its connection to the display :0.0; most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application. xterm: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) or KillClient on X server ":0.0" xterm: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) or KillClient on X server ":0.0" xterm: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) or KillClient on X server ":0.0" xinit: connection to X server lost. -------------------------------------------- Can anything be done about this?
