I reset it to the correct group and reran rsync. rsync again set the group to wheel. As far as cvsup goes, I didn't even know it was supported. Do you happen to have an example cvsupfile for this? For now, I will probably upload the 4.7-RC package sets (not yet ready) into packages-4-stable and create a symlink for 4.7. In the meantime, I'll have to try and find space for the 4.7-release package sets (maybe I can remove the 5.0-dp1 packages). That will no longer work (and I removed the symlinks the other day on ftp-master), but it was never supported and only ever worked by chance anyway. Anyway, there's a chance we will be reverting to .tgz packages for 4.7 because the changeover was handled badly and is not yet complete. At the moment due to some of the .tgz/.tbz breakage sysinstall in 4.7 can't handle a 4.7 package tree, so we are just using 4.6.2 packages for 4.6 until that is fixed. :) For more about what packages will be added you probably want to ask portmgr@ though. > also, will there be a mini install ISO for 4.7-RC1 ? it has proved > quite popular with our end users. Yes. Actually, due to the package issues, we only have a mini ISO and no disc1 ISO. -- John Baldwin <>< http://www.FreeBSD.org/~jhb/ "Power Users Use the Power to Serve!" - http://www.FreeBSD.org/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-hubs Fri Sep 20 13:25:57 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.FreeBSD.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 38C8537B401 for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2002 13:25:56 -0700 (PDT) Received: from zafiro.ciencias.ubiobio.cl (zafiro.ciencias.ubiobio.cl [146.83.193.221]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1635B43E86 for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2002 13:25:54 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from leo@ubiobio.cl) Received: from localhost (leo@localhost) by zafiro.ciencias.ubiobio.cl (8.11.6/8.11.6) with ESMTP id g8KKPof19457 for ; Fri, 20 Sep 2002 16:25:50 -0400 X-Authentication-Warning: zafiro.ciencias.ubiobio.cl: leo owned process doing -bs Date: Fri, 20 Sep 2002 16:25:49 -0400 (CLT) From: Leonardo Saavedra Henriquez X-Sender: leo@zafiro.ciencias.ubiobio.cl To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Subject: mirror in .cl Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hi All I read http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/hubs/index.html and I asumme that I think I meet all the requirements for be a official FreeBSD mirror, I have a machine, disk space and bandwitch, (bsd.ufro.cl, only ftp and rsync for this moment) What would be the necessary steps to proceed with ftp.cl.freebsd.org We try offer rsync, cvsup, ftp and http services.
