(YES it is an ISA PnP card, I doublechecked !) I have read the handbooks, FAQ's, searched the BSD Usenet News searcher, searched current usenet postings, but I just cannot get a grip on the EXACT configuration I need to put in the kernel. I followed the instructions in Helmuth Michaelis's "Care and feeding of ISDN4BSD", so the ISDN part in my kernel configuration looks like this: device isic0 options DYNALINK pseudo-device "i4bq921" pseudo-device "i4bq931" pseudo-device "i4b" pseudo-device "i4btrc" 4 pseudo-device "i4bctl" pseudo-device "i4brbch" 4 pseudo-device "i4btel" 4 pseudo-device "i4bipr" 4 pseudo-device "i4bisppp" 4 options IPR_VJ options IPR_LOG=5 Now, I have noticed upon booting that the first message about ISDN that is listed is something like this: "Cards: Dynalink unknown, can't assign resources". After that, I DO get the messages confirming the attaching of i4b, i4bisppp, i4bctl etcetera, just like the manual says. I figured that the problem must be within the first two lines, so I have been trying various combinations of them, until now without result. But, as the system is an older Intel box, it takes ages to compile a kernel and try something new, so I hope that someone can point me to the right solution ! Do I need to use ISIC or IWIC ? And then what ? And must "DYNALINK" be supplied as an option, and if so, with or without quotes ? Please help me out here, I am driving myself crazy :-) Best Regards, Arvid Elstrodt arvid@elstrodt.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isdn" in the body of the message
