On -CURRENT I have to symlink /etc/malloc.conf to Hrajuxz, in order to let mozilla java plugin work. Without the symlink (malloc flag), java_vm would encounter a bus error. Without the flag, even trying demo/jfc/Notepad would lead to bus error, too. Maybe only aj could just work, but I didn't try it. In CJK environment, a spicially written font.properties is required. I have one (written by my friend) which makes it possible to display big5 charset characters. Should I put a port in chinese/ or let this merged into next patchset ? This font.properties.zh_TW(1) is FreeBSD specific. BTW, currently in my test, only AWT could use that font.properties(2) but applet could not(3)(4)(5) . I'll post more if I discover more ;) links: (1) ftp://freebsd.sinica.edu.tw/pub/clive/font.properties.zh_TW (2) http://www.cirx.org/~clive/dist/notepad.gif (3) http://www.phy.ntnu.edu.tw/java/shm/index.html (4) http://www.cirx.org/~clive/dist/applet_bsd.gif (5) http://www.cirx.org/~clive/dist/applet_w2k.gif - -- PGP key in header X-PGP-key.
