Please help make this release a success by performing a network install, or simply installing your favorite packages from the packages-4.7-release directory. In principle, using the current port (Wine 2002.10.07) works fine for me on a -STABLE box around 4.6.2, even with an SMP kernel. That said, after having encountered few problems during my tests yesterday, before committing my update of the Wine port, today I had repeated problems starting up Wine 2002.10.07+Agent 1.91, though after several tries it did work. Clearly, this is non-deterministic, and I'm not sure whether this a FreeBSD kernel problem or a Wine bug (and note that Wine is still in alpha). :-( I can try to check the patch above; is it supposed to fix a bug, that is, should the situation improve using it? The patch is supposed to fix a bug, but I don't think it was for the situation you described. We were mostly interested to know if the patch caused any regressions. Knowing this is still useful, but the patch has already been committed to 4-STABLE and 4.7-RELEASE. Thanks!
