Use the du command to look around. You might be able to delete some categories from /usr/ports like foreign languages--/usr/ports/japanese might be one category you don't need, for example. Also /usr/ports/distfiles can get quite large if you don't delete distfiles after getting them. You can also put distfiles elsewhere and create a symbolic link, if you've got space elsewhere.
