I have a SuperMicro 6040 with the accompanying backplane, which supports
hotswap. However, I can't seem to get the two to play nicely together
(i.e. the RAID card to recognize when a new drive has been inserted and
begin a rebuild in the OS background) as seems to be the ideal
situation. Have you any advice on how to get the card to recognize
this? I have pored over the manuals but am coming up empty.

That's ok. Based on what I've seen, the syslog messages should be
enough info for my use.
Thanks for your help.
