VIVID'S "FADE TO BLACK" GRABS TOP HONORS AT 2002 AVN AWARDS SHOW IN LAS VEGAS!!!

Top Awards for Fade To Black

(LAS VEGAS – NV) Vivid Entertainment Group nailed down several top awards at this year's AVN Awards show in Las Vegas. Vivid took the evening's highest honor, the Best Film award, which was presented for Paul Thomas' Fade to Black, making this the seventh time Vivid has won a Best Film or Video award in the last 17 years. Thomas himself took home the Best Director - Film award, also for Fade to Black, which virtually locked out all competition by taking 7 film awards in all.

The decision to make the movie was never an issue given Thomas’ track record for developing exceptional material. Fade to Black is representative of Vivid's commitment to showcasing the industry's foremost talent - the best directors available, the best girls available.

Taylor Hayes, who won the AVN award Best Actress – Film in 2001 for her role in Jekyll & Hyde, said that after reading the Fade to Black script, she believed the film could be something special. Speaking of the film, Taylor commented "…I think that if there is ever going to be any kind of a mainstream crossover, it’s already happening right now.”

So, I thought rather than bothering other people, I will make the patches myself and submit them to the -www list. I hope I am right.. am I ? ;) I am sending a mail to -www list, because according to my knowledge, the -www list maintains the FreeBSD CGI Scripts (for /www/en/cgi/). Whenever a PR is submitted, and either the request is succesful or not, it has to show a navigation bar, for the FreeBSD Site. I was getting a tad bit annoyed when I submitted a PR thru the web, and I couldn't go around the site thru that page, so here is the patches. ;) I have added code for showing a navigation bar with the following links. Note, all links are text based. The following are the links which appear at the bottom of the page: 1) Home 2) Documentation 3) Search 4) Index 5) Contacting FreeBSD To modularise the code, I have made a subroutine called html_nav(); which has the navigation bar inside it. That code should be entered into "html.pl". Hope it gets accepted, thanks, regards, - Hiten - The following are the patches for the neccessary files: [PATCH] for /www/en/cgi/html.pl ================================================================================ *** html.pl.old Mon Apr 3 09:45:51 2000 --- html.pl Fri Jan 18 19:05:10 2002 *************** *** 31,36 **** --- 31,58 ---- } # + # &html_nav + # Simple text-navigation for FreeBSD WWW Site. + # This sub-routine produces a simple text based navigation + # bar for use with e.g. CGI Scripts such as dosendpr.cgi + # + # Layout: + # | Home | Documentation | Search | Index | Contacting FreeBSD | + # + sub html_nav { + print $eot = < +
