I usually run single partitions and have not had a problem with it not working. However, this maybe due to a previous installation having done the boot sector. I reuse my drives a lot due to frequent setup changes. Take a look at this: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/boot-blocks.html [snip] # fdisk -B -b /boot/boot0 device [/snip] Of course, i usually try to give this kinda stuff a test run before doing it on a hot system. have fun > thanks so far! > > and this also works for the boot secotor where the systems boots of? > > thanks, > arie > > > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: owner-freebsd-isp@freebsd.org > [mailto:owner-freebsd-isp@freebsd.org]Im Auftrag von Mario Theodoridis > Gesendet: Sonntag, 14.
