Bay Area NAS company looking for multiple FreeBSD kernel and QA engineers... X-BeenThere: freebsd-jobs@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Jobs offered and sought List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 30 May 2003 21:06:22 -0000 I'm posting this on behalf of a recruiter acquaintance, not because I get a cut of the action (gosh wouldn't that be nice) but because I know there are a lot of skilled FreeBSD people looking for jobs at the moment and the market sucks, so I'm more than willing to go a little out of my way to play match-maker when the opportunity presents itself even if the opportunity has nothing to do with Apple. Anyway, this guy's looking for at least 3 skilled kernel hackers who must have some demonstrable experience hacking on device drivers and/or filesystems (even better) in FreeBSD. Previous experience with Network Attached Storage solutions a plus. He is also looking for 2 quality assurance people with FreeBSD and NAS experience, though I imagine that previous QA experience is the highest qualification for those two jobs. All candidates MUST be willing to work physically in the San Francisco Bay Area (they're on the S.F. peninsula), no telecommuters. I don't know if relocation packages are being offered, though most companies are willing if the candidate really lights up their christmas tree. No, I don't know the name of the company - recruiters, at least the successful ones, generally aren't stupid enough to let that information slip out. :-) I don't believe the company is looking for any sysadmins at this time, sorry. I think that pretty much sums it up. Interested parties with the right skills (please don't mailbomb the guy if you don't, you'll only gum up the works for someone who does) should contact Yuvraj Khanna (Raj) at 408-540-1800. He also has a little Yahoo group where he posts his jobs at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yuvi123/ though you shouldn't expect to get a lot of background info there. I had to play 20 questions just to get the distilled information listed above. Good luck, - Jordan
