catpipe Systems is hiring: Perl/C developer with UNIX sysadmin skills
We are looking for a Perl and C developer, with abilities in UNIX
(FreeBSD, Linux) system administration and IP networks.
Qualifications:
---------------
- Experienced Perl and C developer, UNIX environment ;
References in previous Perl development will be requested
- UNIX sysadmin experience (SAGE level III: Intermediate/Advanced, as defined
at http://sageweb.sage.org/resources/publications/8_jobs/core.html) ;
- Working knowledge of Revision Control Systems, i.e. CVS/P4/..., though
this is not required to apply
- IP networking background, eventual knowledge of SNMP and network
monitoring are a plus.

catpipe Systems is a small UNIX consultancy and network services company
located in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a strong focus on Open Source operating
systems, particulary FreeBSD.
You will join the team and participate in the development of our server and
network monitoring product, d-mon, and other related projects (SMTP/anti-spam
solutions, DNS management platform).
As a developer, you will be capable of structured development in Perl and C,
extending existing software as well as designing/implementing -- and
documenting! -- new programs and modules.
We expect you to be a team player, who enjoys working in a group, while
capable of being autonomous on assigned tasks.
You will also be able to support UNIX customer installations running
FreeBSD and Linux.

Salary is negotiated depending on experience. After the trial period,
company shares can be an option, if you are motivated.
Miscellaneous:

English is the primary language at catpipe Systems, though both Danish
and English will be required to function in the company, and to communicate
with customers and partners. It is therefore expected that the applicant
either have some knowledge of Danish, or be willing to learn it (courses
are paid by catpipe Systems).
