It only boots into polling mode. Is there a way to set it? I tried setting hw.pcic.irq, but this results in "Can't route ISA CSC interrupt." I think my problem is similar to that described in 20020221.100212.55046049.imp@village.org This machine just cvsup'ed -stable, so is at 4.8-Release plus a day or two. The system is identical to one in work (anther Dell Precision 410 PII) except the work machine uses an ISA->PCMCIA adapter. This one uses a PCI->PCMCIA adapter with the TI 1410 I'm using ISA interrupt routing (hw.pcic.intr_path=1). If I don't, the system hangs at boot after printing "pci_cftintr_virgin: using routable interrupt 3" I tried one kernel configured like the man page device card device pcic and another configured like LINT/GENERIC device card device pcic0 at isa? irq 10 port 0x3e0 iomem 0xd8000 Memory addresses of 0xd0000 and 0xd4000 result in PIOCRWMEM invalid argument errors. Using 0xd8000 the Orinoco Gold card is seen and will associate. I just can't use it and see constant wi timeout messages. >From what I read in the archives, my problem relates to being in polling mode. So I'm currently looking to set an IRQ for this pci->pcmcia bridge to see if this fixes anything. Any ideas? If it helps, the "AP" is another FreeBSD system (using a PLM based adapter, not cardbus) so if there are things I can look at on the "other end" let me know. One other item. The machine in question dual boots Win2K (quicken/turbotax) and talks to the FreeBSD AP just fine. All the HW works. I've also set wireless up on FreeBSD using ISA->PCMCIA, PCI->PCMCIA w/PLM (e.g. no pcic) and on Soekris (e.g. no (bus)->PCMCIA adapter. I just can't get this current configuration to behave. Any help appriciated. Is there a way of accessing the thinkpad recovery slice to drop XP back on the slice I've left for it? Or is it worth trying some other paticular boot manager to do this? So far I've tried the boot manager to access the slice but with no response (total blank screen) and also setting the slice as active (same blank screen) Given that it has no floppy (just a cd) I was unable to create a rescue floppy and so far haven't found a recovery cd that is downloadable. If it's like the T30 then you can burn a bootable CD with the recovery floppy image on it and it will happily boot from it. Note that you will need a Windows box with a floppy to run LOADDSKF.EXE, which you can either extract from the recovery partition or download (Google will find you lots of copies of it). However, I haven't tried using the recovery image on a machine with only FreeBSD on it; when I ran it on an XP-installed T30 it modified BOOT.INI to boot from the recovery partition. Also, IBM seems to be good at changing things incompatibly so it's possible that this won't work on the A31p. :( -- brandon s allbery [openafs/solaris/japh/freebsd] allbery@kf8nh.apk.net system administrator [linux/heimdal/too many hats] allbery@ece.cmu.edu electrical and computer engineering KF8NH carnegie mellon university [better check the oblivious first -ke6sls] From owner-freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG Sun Apr 6 09:07:57 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9D27B37B401 for ; Sun, 6 Apr 2003 09:07:57 -0700 (PDT) Received: from mta06-svc.ntlworld.com (mta06-svc.ntlworld.com [62.253.162.46]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8B41E43F93 for ; Sun, 6 Apr 2003 09:07:56 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from scott@fishballoon.org) Received: from fishballoon.org ([81.104.195.199]) by mta06-svc.ntlworld.com (InterMail vM.4.01.03.37 201-229-121-137-20020806) with ESMTP id <20030406160755.HPIJ2033.mta06-svc.ntlworld.com@fishballoon.org> for ; Sun, 6 Apr 2003 17:07:55 +0100 Received: from tuatara.fishballoon.org (tuatara [192.168.1.6]) by fishballoon.org (8.12.6p2/8.12.6) with ESMTP id h36G7FGw046046 for ; Sun, 6 Apr 2003 17:07:15 +0100 (BST) (envelope-from scott@tuatara.fishballoon.org) Received: (from scott@localhost) by tuatara.fishballoon.org (8.12.7/8.12.6/Submit) id h36G7E0w072409 for freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org; Sun, 6 Apr 2003 17:07:14 +0100 (BST) (envelope-from scott) Date: Sun, 6 Apr 2003 17:07:14 +0100 From: Scott Mitchell To: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org Message-ID: <20030406160714.GF517@tuatara.fishballoon.org> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.4i X-Operating-System: FreeBSD 4.8-PRERELEASE i386 Subject: Call for testers: xe driver patches X-BeenThere: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Mobile computing with FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sun, 06 Apr 2003 16:07:57 -0000 I've made some long overdue updates to the xe (Xircom Ethernet) driver. This is the first of several updates I have planned. This one: - Fixes the hardware initialisation to eliminate the watchdog timeout every time the card is powered up. - Add multicast support (apparently this had never worked). - Enable 'early transmit' mode on CE3-class hardware. This may improve performance, assuming the card can be fed fast enough. - Clean up handling of MAC interrupts and statistics in ISR. - Some general code cleanup. The next stage will be to improve the detection and handling of CE2-class cards, which have also never really worked. I'm releasing this work in progress in the hope that people will test it and confirm that I haven't broken anything -- any card that worked before should continue to work, hopefully with fewer complaints. I'll be very grateful to anyone out there who a) runs -CURRENT and b) has a card supported by xe, who can try out this patch and report back any breakage to me. This is most relevant to people with CE3-class cards that worked already -- these should continue to work. If you've got a CE2-class card that didn't work already, it probably still won't, sorry. See PR kern/50644 for the patch. It's quite large, so I won't post it to the mailing list. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=kern/50644 The patch is against -CURRENT sources from around noon GMT today. It might apply OK against 5.0-RELEASE, although I haven't tried this myself. Log messages like: xe0: transmit underrun: increasing transmit threshold to are to be expected. I'll probably turn these off eventually. IBM supplies the CDs for free for the first 30 or so days after you buy your laptop, if you just call to ask for it. After that they will charge you a modest fee for the CD - about $15 I think. Is there >a way of accessing the thinkpad recovery slice to drop XP back on >the slice I've left for it? My advice would be to follow another path completely. For the X21 NASA bought me and for two T23s I've bought myself, I called IBM support and asked for a recovery CD set. Each time, they sent a free pair of CDs and an instruction booklet. If you want to partition your disk differently, or if (as with NASA's X21) a dual-boot configuration makes disk space precious, I see no reason to waste a slice (a.k.a., partition) and its space on immovable recovery data. A hibernation slice makes much more sense. Now I have a FreeBSD slice, a hibernation slice, a Windows slice, and (on the machine that uses NTFS for Windows) a FAT32 slice to be able to write from FreeBSD to Windows. That's all four slices giving value, and none wasted on recovery. Also, if You're depending upon a recovery slice and your disk crashes, You are forced to buy the replacement disk from IBM. They make good disks, but nobody has ever accused IBM of being the low cost provider. Call IBM and get CDs. -- M/S 258-5 |1024-bit PGP fingerprint:|tweten@nas.nasa.gov NASA Ames Research Center | 41 B0 89 0A 8F 94 6C 59| (650) 604-4416 Moffett Field, CA 94035-1000| 7C 80 10 20 25 C7 2F E6|FAX: (650) 604-4377 We each earn what freedom of speech we defend for those who most offend us. If your mobo can't route an interrupt, you current lose. So sorry. Thank you for playing. Sucks to be you. However, a route out of purgatory might be possible. : I'm using ISA interrupt routing (hw.pcic.intr_path=1). That's guaranteed to fail. You *MUST* use PCI interrupts with PCI add-in cards. You cannot use ISA in this case since there's no path to the south bridge isa interrupt lines (serial or parallel) in this case. : If I don't, the : system hangs at boot after printing "pci_cftintr_virgin: using routable : interrupt 3" OK. Wanna try a patch? This patch adds a tunable hw.pci.irq_override_mask which allows you to override the IRQs that we try when we have no other clue what to do. There's likely some hint SOMEWHERE that we can look at, but until someone can unearth it, we gotta set it by hand. You can set this in your boot loader for testing and then in /boot/loader.conf. BTW, this really sucks, and a better, more generic mechanism is needed. IIRC, I've seen some patches that provide a more generic mechanism to do this, but can't find them in a quick web search now. It likely would be a real good idea not to specify a mask with bit 3 set :-) Warner Index: sys/i386/pci/pci_cfgreg.c =================================================================== diff -u pci_cfgreg.c pci_cfgreg.c --- sys/i386/pci/pci_cfgreg.c 30 May 2001 09:51:10 -0000 1.2 +++ sys/i386/pci/pci_cfgreg.c 9 Dec 2002 07:26:11 -0000 @@ -37,6 +37,7 @@ #include #include #include +#include #include #include #include @@ -78,6 +79,17 @@ static struct mtx pcicfg_mtx; +/* sysctl vars */ +SYSCTL_NODE(_hw, OID_AUTO, pci, CTLFLAG_RD, 0, "PCI Bus parameters"); + +static uint32_t pci_irq_override_mask = 0xdef4; +TUNABLE_INT("hw.pci.irq_override_mask", &pci_irq_override_mask); +SYSCTL_INT(_hw_pci, OID_AUTO, irq_override_mask, CTLFLAG_RD, + &pci_irq_override_mask, 0xdef4, + "Mask of allowed irqs to try to route when it has no good clue about\n" + "which irqs it should use."); + + /* * Some BIOS writers seem to want to ignore the spec and put * 0 in the intline rather than 255 to indicate none. There is no hostap support with those cards. You're stuck with PRISM-based cards (or Hermes-based ones in theory, but that's not yet supported with FreeBSD, afaik). I have some D-Link DWL-520 (not plus) PCI cards, but apparently those are hard to find nowadays. Apparently, the only cheap cards out there that are still using the PRISM chipset are the Netgear MA301/401 (PCMCIA, PCI adapter). Some others that had the PRISM chipset are now using other chipsets (without any reference change!). Otherwise, for folks in the US, you can check out the Senao cards which have higher transmit power and are PRISM based. Not legal in Europe, though. Thanks for your replies and the correct answer was get the cd from IBM - apart from the reinstall issues it gives the opportunity to free up the space. The not so correct answer was change the partition types recovery partition (ad0s3) 28 -> 12 original partition (ad0s1) 12 -> 28 (actually originally 7 for ntfs) and boot to the recovery partition as DOS using the FreeBSD boot manager. Interestingly this does not appear to include the useful goodies like drivers for the WLAN card so until the cd arrives I'll have no network or any of the extras that IBM need to add to windows so that everything works. The BSD drivers for the card work out-of-the-box. At this point, I think you'll just have to bite the bullet and get the IBM recovery CDROMs (IIRC, free within the first 30 days, and then something like $20-$30 after that). You probably don't want to hear this, but one "better" way to install FreeBSD on the A31/A31p (I've got an A31) is: [ The following assumes a (1) standard, unmodified, XP installation, (2) a FreeBSD recovery CDROM, and (3) some system that you can access via the network (you'll need it to temporarily hold a file, as the A31/A31p doesn't have a floppy). ] 1. You're going to configure the A31/A31p to use XP's native boot manager to boot either XP or FreeBSD (because of this, you do not have to change the boot sector). To understand how this works, and what you have to do, read the following: http://bsdatwork.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=3 (Also read the OpenBSD section for additional WinXP info.) http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/faq/disks.html#NT-BOOTLOADER 2. Repartition the disk using a program like PartitionMagic or BootIt. If you use BootIt, YOU MUST NOT INSTALL IT; you just boot the BootIt CDROM, and CLICK "Cancel" TO ENTER MAINTENANCE MODE -- DO NOT INSTALL BOOTIT. Once you're in maintenance mode, you can click on the "Partition Work" icon to resize partitions. 3. Install FreeBSD, but DO NOT INSTALL ANY BOOT MANAGER. Leave the boot sector alone. The one thing you must not do (as you have unfortunately discovered) is replace the boot sector (boot sectors, actually, as the IBM recovery code seems to exist in multiple sectors). 4. Enable networking on FreeBSD. Once you've got it working, copy /boot/boot1 (or other file, as mentioned in the above URLs) to the other system accessible via the network. 5. Boot the FreeBSD recovery CDROM, and enter recovery mode. Use fdisk to change the active partition back to the original (non-recovery) XP partition. 6. Boot XP, and then use the instructions in the above URLs to set up XP's bootloader to select between XP and FreeBSD at boot time. You'll need to use the file that you saved in step #4, above. At this point, you should be able to choose between booting either XP or FreeBSD. -- Darryl Okahata darrylo@soco.agilent.com DISCLAIMER: this message is the author's personal opinion and does not constitute the support, opinion, or policy of Agilent Technologies, or of the little green men that have been following him all day. Please try the new code and let me know if you have any problems/questions/etc. Also please do not forget to CC to one of the FreeBSD mailing lists. Below is a quick summary of changes: All code - Resolve problem with M_NOWAIT/M_DONTWAIT flags in MALLOC and mbuf related calls; Drivers - ng_ubt(4) was re-written. It now can provide traditional device nodes based interface (needed for firmware download); - ng_h4(4), ng_ubt(4) and ng_bt3c(4) drivers now receive data directly into mbuf clusters; HCI layer - Added new command {read|write}_node_role_switch to enable/disable role switch for incoming connections. This fixes the problem with devices that do not support role switch; - Handle HCI ENCRYPTION_CHANGE event and update connection descriptor; - Fix minor bug in packet mask check code; L2CAP layer - L2CAP layer now will respond to disconnect request, even if channel already in DISCONNECTING state; Bluetooth sockets layer - Raw HCI and L2CAP sockets now have notion of "privileged" commands. Now regular users can run hccontrol(8)/l2control(8) and execute most of the commands; - Fix locking bug in raw L2CAP sockets code; - Generate unique token for L2CAP sockets; - L2CAP and RFCOMM sockets now detect and detach sockets that have been disconnected before receiving side had a chance to accept them. This removes sockets that stuck in CLOSED state on accepting socket queue; - Fix "early initialization" bug in RFCOMM sockets that causes crash when ng_btsocket(4) module is loaded from loader prompt at boot time. Userspace tools - Change btsockstat(1) so it prints information about RFCOMM sessions; - Install btsockstat(1) as SUID and drop SUID when core file in used; - Added bcmfw(8) - Broadcom 0x2033 chip based firmware download utility Note: This is UNTESTED code since I have no hardware to test it on; - Fix Makefile's and use ${.CURDIR} in include path; - Minor improvements to hccontrol(8). Better documentation and stuff; - hcsecd(8) now refuses to run if it was started by non-privileged user; Ports - All ports/ now use relative path to bluetooth/include; - Minor fixes in hcidump(1): get rid of 'inline' functions, display warning if run as non-privileged user, display credits in RFCOMM UIH frames; display more SDP attributes; - Minor fixes in obexapp(1): updated man page with more examples, connect automatically in client mode (CONnect command was removed), fix typo in default server root path, in server mode try to wait for the client to close connection; - Update SDP with the latest patches from Linux BlueZ (up to 1.1 release) When upgrading please follow these steps 1) Download latest snapshot 2) Extract it into your home directory. Please *do not* extract shapshot into /usr. you *should* build snapshot *outside* of main FreeBSD source tree. 3) Build and install kernel modules cd $snapshot_dir/src/sys/modules/netgraph/bluetooth make depend make make install make cleandir 4) Build and install userspace tools cd $snapshot_dir/src/usr.bin/bluetooth make depend make make install make cleandir cd $snapshot_dir/src/usr.sbin/bluetooth make depend make make install make cleandir rehash 5) Build and install ports (optional - you might need glib12 and openobex libraries installed) IMPORTANT: - Build snapshot *outside* of FreeBSD main source tree. *Do not* update sources in /usr/src. If you run 'cvsup' then all your changes to /usr/src *will be lost* - Always update your userspace tools - After bulding and installing new kernel *do not* forget to re-compile and re-install Bluetooth kernel modules (from snapshot). You need this because kernel build will install old (stock) Bluetooth modules - After making "word" please *do not* forget to re-compile/re-install both kernel modules and userland tools from snapshot thanks, max __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Sorry, but you lose. Thanks for playing! The 650+ uses the TI chip-set and TI has thus far declined to release any documentation that will allow a driver to be written. I created stop_if.wi0 after dhclient started consuming all CPU when I removed the card. This also allows me to change locations fairly easily by adding a case statement to start_if.xxx so I can manually run it with an argument telling it where I am and how to deal with the network there. This is quite helpful. I see my "sleeping 15s ..." message... twice. The first occurs just after "wi0: Lucent Firmware: Station 8.10.0". The second occurs just after "Doing initial network setup: hostname ipmon ipfilter." Back to the original problem: wi0 doesn't get an IP address. dhclient is running. /var/dbh/dhclient.leases has the expected values (I deleted it before rebooting). > stop_if.wi0: > #!/bin/sh > /bin/kill `cat /var/run/dhclient.wi0.pid` I have similar. However, If I remove the card, dhclient is not killed but wi0 disappears from the ifconfig output. If the card is then inserted, I don't see the "sleeping 15s" message. And ifconfig still doesn't show a wi0 interface. This is what I see: [root@laptop:~] # wi0: timeout in wi_seek to fc80/0; last status ffff wi0: timeout in wi_seek to fc80/0; last status ffff wi0: detached pccard: card removed, slot 0 Apr 7 17:57:56 laptop /kernel: stray irq 3 Apr 7 17:57:56 laptop dhclient: send_packet: No route to host Apr 7 17:57:56 laptop dhclient: receive_packet failed on wi0: No route to host In fact, unless wi0 is inserted before booting, I can't get it to work. Possible clues: During the boot process, the "ifconfig wi0" information appears on the screen but without an IP address, and with the wrong channel (and "status: no carrier"). The SSID, wep info etc, are all there. But that also shouldn't cause trouble, as far as I > understand the situation. I tried ad-hoc mode with orinoco cards once and while the freebsd machines had no trouble communicating, windows wouldn't talk to either. Putting a prism based card in one of them (the one that was connected to the network and the one we wanted as the access point) and putting it in hostap mode, the other machines (freebsd and windows) had no trouble communicating with it in BSS mode. One thing I did see with the prism based cards was hard lockups apparently due to a firmware problem. They say it's fixed in 1.5.6, but it took a windows 98 or higher laptop to flash it and I didn't have one available to verify it. In 4.7, during the install FreeBSD only recognizes my Linksys PCMCIA card if I specify that I will need the pc-card for installation. If I say no when it gives me this option, during the install, the pc-card doesnt get recognized. In 5.0, it doesnt give me this option, so I never get to set my network configurations. Well, in 4.7, when I option it to use the pc-card for installation... it recognizes my card as ed1... and not ed0? Also, the card comes up after boot... is there a way to fix these issues? Have I missed something? Ive searched the archives for this same problem w/ Sony VAIO's but to no avail. Can POA help my situation? The A1 uses a PRISM chipset, while the B1 uses a Broadcom chipset which I don't think we support. This is according to the Windows XP driver .inf files. The A1 is vendor 1260 and device 3890 and has PRISM all over the PRISMNIC.inf file. Too bad there doesn't seem to be a way to tell whether you're going to get the A1 or the B1. Dlink tells you how to tell them apart, but try asking any on-line vendor... I'd grab one if I knew it was the A1. -- Dan Eischen From owner-freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Apr 8 22:32:36 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C473C37B401 for ; Tue, 8 Apr 2003 22:32:36 -0700 (PDT) Received: from web41509.mail.yahoo.com (web41509.mail.yahoo.com [66.218.93.92]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with SMTP id 5F3FA43F85 for ; Tue, 8 Apr 2003 22:32:36 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from ice799@yahoo.com) Message-ID: <20030409053236.80891.qmail@web41509.mail.yahoo.com> Received: from [67.80.116.158] by web41509.mail.yahoo.com via HTTP; Tue, 08 Apr 2003 22:32:36 PDT Date: Tue, 8 Apr 2003 22:32:36 -0700 (PDT) From: iCe To: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Subject: orinoco gold pcmcia question X-BeenThere: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Mobile computing with FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 09 Apr 2003 05:32:37 -0000 Hey, I've been having alot of trouble getting my PCMCIA orinoco gold card to work. This product uses Broadcom BCM2033 module and you reached to solution, firmware patch for the module. I should report you when I tested bcmfw command. I've been installed 2003-04-07(patched) on Casio FIVA. At first, I tried to connect HSC HNT-UB01(MITSUMI Module). Bluetooth stack looks fine. Next, I tried to connect GW-BH02U. This module found with ubt0. Of course hccommand still problem. So, I should type following command on firm dir. # bcmfw -n ubt0 -m BCM2033-MD.hex -f BCM2033-FW.bin bcmfw[498]: Could not NgSendMsg(4, ubt0:, 1021837971, 7, 0xbfbffb6e, 2). No such file or directory (2) Unfortunately, I got following message on console and upgrade failure. Allocationg major#249 to "ubt" ubt0: at uhub0 port 1 (addr 2) disconnected ubt0: detached ugen0: Broadcom Corp. BCM2033, rev 1.01/0.a0, addr2 I tried to solve with use gdb and trace bcmfw. So, bcmfw called bcmfw_device_nodes twice. First one should passed. Second one show that syslog message to failure. I don't know why but when firmware transfered to module, just after ubt0 become detached. I should test continuously, If this report becomes help you for fix problem. BCM2033, rev 1.01/0.a0, addr2 hmmm... that is strange... it seems device re-attached itself and then ugen(4) driver attached to it. > I tried to solve with use gdb and trace bcmfw. So, bcmfw called > bcmfw_device_nodes twice. First one should passed. Second one show > that syslog message to failure. I don't know why but when firmware > transfered to module, just after ubt0 become detached. i see. the first call to bcmfw_device_bcmfw_check_device() is to turn *on* device nodes under /dev. the second call to bcmfw_device_nodes() is to turn them *off* since you did not get any errors from bcmfw_check_device() and bcmfw_load_firmware() then i suspect the bcmfw(8) actually worked and transferred firmware into the device. it appears that device resets itself *after* firmware was downloaded and that caused "detach" message you saw. when device is detached Netgraph node is destroyed and that causes "Could not NgSendMsg()" error. next, ugen(8) driver attached to the device. i wonder why. we already claimed that device, so why just not re-attach the same driver? got to get back to USB source code... > I should test continuously, If this report becomes help you for fix problem. thank you very much for trying it and reporting the results. i will try to find workaround. thanks, max __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? But, on the positive side, the an0 driver seems to work great with OLDCARD with the Cisco 350, and I'll take it for a spin tomorrow when I get to uni where I have access to the network. If you are only using .11 to wirelessly star your machines into a server then an AP (or hostap) is good. However, if you are using it as a peer to peer network then ad-hoc gives better throughput (as long as they can hear each other). > louie > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-mobile > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-mobile-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" > -- ________________________________________________________________________ Duncan Barclay | dmlb@dmlb.org | dmlb@freebsd.org| From owner-freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Apr 9 17:53:47 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4047C37B401 for ; Wed, 9 Apr 2003 17:53:47 -0700 (PDT) Received: from reason.levels.unisa.edu.au (reason.levels.unisa.edu.au [130.220.33.11]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8B40C43F93 for ; Wed, 9 Apr 2003 17:53:45 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from cisbjc@cs.unisa.edu.au) Received: from cs.unisa.edu.au (cis202068.levels.unisa.edu.au [130.220.37.202])h3A0rh9L014975 for ; Thu, 10 Apr 2003 10:23:43 +0930 (CST) Message-ID: <3E94C0F3.4030108@cs.unisa.edu.au> Date: Thu, 10 Apr 2003 10:25:15 +0930 From: Benjamin Close User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20030311 X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG X-Enigmail-Version: 0.71.0.0 X-Enigmail-Supports: pgp-inline, pgp-mime Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: dstumbler & wi X-BeenThere: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Mobile computing with FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 10 Apr 2003 00:53:47 -0000 Hi All, Has anyone else noticed dstumbler from the bsd-airtools port no longer works? Both from the driver disk, which has things like tiacxgen.bin, tiacxmx.bin, tiaxcrmx.bin and tiacxsn.bin on it, as well as the vendor/product number of 0x104c and 0x8400. 0x104c is TI. Just FYI. Another $75 down the drain :-(.
