I'm sorry if I'm re-reporting an old bug, but I was under the impression that the recent changes to the Makefile supposedly fixed this by making KDE use the proper wrappers. I deleted my workstation installation and the port and reinstalled. The newly created menu entries point to e.g.: /usr/local/OpenOffice.org-644/program/smath I'd expect this to be the wrapper script. Its contents is: #!/bin/sh cmd=`dirname "$0"`/soffice exec "$cmd" -math "$@" Clearly, there is no "cd to program directory" here and this is why the splashscreen problem appears. Everythign works fine if I modify the wrapper as such: #!/bin/sh cd `dirname "$0"` exec ./soffice -math "$@" - Bartosz From owner-freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Apr 29 07:55:07 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id ED11737B401 for ; Tue, 29 Apr 2003 07:55:07 -0700 (PDT) Received: from undo.chillt.de (p50.nas3.wlg.callplus.net.nz [202.180.85.50]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id F09A843F3F for ; Tue, 29 Apr 2003 07:55:05 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from freebsd@chillt.de) Received: from chillt.de (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by undo.chillt.de (8.12.9/8.12.9) with ESMTP id h3TEt3gM060805 for ; Wed, 30 Apr 2003 02:55:04 +1200 (NZST) (envelope-from freebsd@chillt.de) Message-ID: <3EAE9247.50805@chillt.de> Date: Wed, 30 Apr 2003 02:55:03 +1200 From: Bartosz Fabianowski User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030413 X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: fresh 664_1 port and workstation installation: soffice.cfg missing X-BeenThere: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting OpenOffice to FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 29 Apr 2003 14:55:08 -0000 After performing a fresh installation of the port and a workstation installation for a user, OOo will not run, complaining that the while accessing the file "/usr/home/user/OpenOffice.org644/user/config/soffice.cfg", an internal error in "GetStorage" occured. Then, I did a fresh cvsup of the ports tree (just to be sure), ran "make clear" and "make install". With this newly compiled compiled port, I performed a workstation installation and the wrapper files such as /usr/local/OpenOffice.org-644/program/smath still only contain things like e.g.: #!/bin/sh cmd=`dirname "$0"`/soffice exec "$cmd" -math "$@" Apparenly, this problem does not occur when you install the port on your machine. I have no idea why it happens here, I am running a fairly standard 4.8-STABLE... - Bartosz From owner-freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Sat May 3 04:33:31 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id F2CE537B401 for ; Sat, 3 May 2003 04:33:30 -0700 (PDT) Received: from pimout4-ext.prodigy.net (pimout4-ext.prodigy.net [207.115.63.103]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 50B4B43FAF for ; Sat, 3 May 2003 04:33:30 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from wa1ter@myrealbox.com) Received: from myrealbox.com (adsl-64-175-104-27.dsl.lsan03.pacbell.net [64.175.104.27])h43BXSFZ046144 for ; Sat, 3 May 2003 07:33:29 -0400 Message-ID: <3EB3A907.2090907@myrealbox.com> Date: Sat, 03 May 2003 04:33:27 -0700 From: walt Organization: none User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030502 X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: BYTE_ORDER undefined in osssound.cxx ?
