Are there particular versions of the FreeBSD OpenOffice port that someone wants first? I'm building the 5.x packages using 5.2-RC since this should work both with 5.2-RELEASE and 5.2-CURRENT. I'm installing gcc33 on the 4.9-STABLE box and this will hopefully compile OpenOffice for that platform. I'm relatively new to this task in the FreeBSD world, so any pointers on how to create and test packages (especially what options should or should not be used) would be helpful. Backing down my 5.2-CURRENT box to 5.2-RC is still going on (portupgrade to recompile everything, since I've found at least one application which works under 5.2-CURRENT but not under 5.2-RC). However, one useful thing I use is the openoffice-ximian ebuild available on Gentoo. There is talk here: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-openoffice/2003-October/000271.html of looking at incorporating this patch into the freebsd port. I've tried it on 5.1 and 5-Current as of a few days ago with an up-to-date ports tree. I've googled around and found other people where the build stopped at the exact same place, namely when compiling mozilla, due to include files not being found. Unfortunately none of your suggestions like not using CFLAGS in /etc/make.conf works. The build is started with a plain 'make' without any options. I also had WITHOUT_CHATZILLA=yes, but this seems not to affect the build. Regards, Jens -- Jens Schweikhardt http://www.schweikhardt.net/ SIGSIG -- signature too long (core dumped)
