Hi,

I've built a port for the 'mod_shapvh' apache module. Information about the module can be found at: http://www.crazygreek.co.uk/content/mod_shapvh

Only the basic functionality (not the VISP support, see the website) was tested and was working fine. I assume the VISP support also works like it should.

The module is final, it is no longer being worked on since it does what is has to do. There will be no new versions.

Regards,

Steven Looman

PS.
I'm not on the apache nor the ports list, but I'll read reply's in the archive. Also please CC me when possible. Thanks.

Sorry, guess the attachment didn't come through.

The file can be found here: http://www.cobweb.nl/stevenl/mod_shapvh.tar.gz

I'll take a look at a PR (never really done anything with it before), but I won't be able to do it untill tomorrow.

Regards,

Steven Looman

I've found some spare time and filled out a PR: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=74038

Sorry for the hassle.

Are you sure you want apache@FreeBSD.org to be the maintainer of your port?

I am in the process of moving over to Apache 2 and while I was trying
to install the port with

make install WITH_LDAP_OPTIONS=yes WITH_OPENSSL_PORT=yes

I get the following error while the package is making

sed: 1: "s,%%FTPUSERS%%,$FreeBSD ...": bad flag in substitute command: 'v'

Any ideas???

FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE

Thanks,

Zach

Hi,

Yes, I guess so. Unless this is not appropriate? Some other www/mod_ ports have the same maintainer.

you yourself should be the maintainer. meaning that you are responsible
for keeping the port up to date when new versions of the original app are
released or when the port breaks for some other reason (eg gcc updates).
the latter happens quite rarely.

if you specify apache@freebsd.org, this means the apache guys are
responsible, but no one in specific. this is generally a bad idea as
we already have enough ports without a maintainer (those that list
ports@freebsd.org as their maintainer).

cheers, t.

I am aware of this, but the module itself won't change anymore.

If you really want to, go ahead and use me (steven@krx.nl) as a maintainer.
