We're working on a distributed network monitoring application, with BSD appliances collecting data, central statistical aggregation, web interface and report generation. The existing codebase is C and C++ (userland, no kernel programming involved yet), the web interface might eventually involve some client-side code (either Java/C# or a native binary GUI). The ideal candidate would have several years of experience with C programming on Unix (BSD/Posix), including network programming (TCP/IP, protocol design) and at least basic understanding of statistics (not necessarily a math degree) and distributed systems. A work permit could probably be arranged, but we're looking for someone who could start to work in Baar as early as possibly (2-4 months from now). While the company project is closed-source, participation in Open Source projects is actively encouraged (10-30% of paid working time average, in my experience). If you're interested, you can contact me directly by email or phone (mail for number) or talk to the CTO: Junisphere Systems AG c/o Markus Schmid Sihlbruggstrasse 109 6340 Baar Switzerland mschmid@junisphere.net http://www.junisphere.net/ Daniel
