I notice the new ISO is more than three times larger than the previous ISO, but I assume that is "A Good Thing". I also signed on to people.freebsd.org, and did an MD5 of the file to make sure my copy was not corrupted during the download, but my copy has the same md5 digest as the original. I haven't used Disk Utility - FreeBSD's burncd was used when I did some testing. I have to confess: burncd causes an ATA panic on the eMac, so I burnt on i386. On my 12" albook, the EHCI probe seems to be successful and USB insertion/removal events are recognised. It's just that keystrokes don't get through at all. I'm about to do some testing on an i386 box to see if it's mac-specific. later, Peter. The keyboard works if its in the usb port before freebsd is booted. If you add the keyboard after bootup it does not seem to detect it. I was able to exit the installer with the keyboard attached. Also, I was able to burn the cd with Toast in OSX. At least the problem is narrowed down somewhat to what's happening on the Albook. later, Peter.
