It deals with discussions about far reaching changes of FreeBSD. Better forum is for example freebsd-questions. Please direct further discussions out of arch list. Anyway 5.2 is pretty old and unsupported and contains an old version of XFre86 and Xorg. i915 is probably supported only in quite new Xorg. I believe you will better install 5.4-RC3 which includes Xorg 5.8.2 which has i810 driver which supports your card. Michal
