See /usr/ports/UPDATING: 20050517: AFFECTS: users of www/mod_perl2 and all ports depending on it AUTHOR: lars.eggert@gmx.net. API changed for mod_perl2 - existing code will break! The mod_perl2 developers have significantly changed the API in release candidate 2.0.0-RC5. These changes include changed names for core packages, causing software that uses the old API to fail with the new version. You need to update your code as described in http://perl.apache.org/docs/2.0/rename.html Thanks, Lars -- Lars Eggert NEC Network Laboratories --Apple-Mail-13-1055094809-- From owner-freebsd-cvsweb@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Jul 11 16:16:43 2005 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-cvsweb@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-cvsweb@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5BE5516A41C for ; Mon, 11 Jul 2005 16:16:43 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from scop@freebsd.org) Received: from smtp1.pp.htv.fi (smtp1.pp.htv.fi [213.243.153.37]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id F057743D48 for ; Mon, 11 Jul 2005 16:16:42 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from scop@freebsd.org) Received: from cs78131082.pp.htv.fi (cs78131082.pp.htv.fi [62.78.131.82]) by smtp1.pp.htv.fi (Postfix) with ESMTP id 50D277FC17 for ; Mon, 11 Jul 2005 19:16:41 +0300 (EEST) From: Ville =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Skytt=E4?= To: freebsd-cvsweb@freebsd.org In-Reply-To: <5FA46DE1-948B-4B2A-9C83-31E039828ABF@netlab.nec.de> References: <5FA46DE1-948B-4B2A-9C83-31E039828ABF@netlab.nec.de> Content-Type: text/plain Organization: FreeBSD Date: Mon, 11 Jul 2005 19:16:41 +0300 Message-Id: <1121098601.2892.264.camel@localhost.localdomain> Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Evolution 2.2.2 (2.2.2-5) Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: Re: please update for mod_perl2 X-BeenThere: freebsd-cvsweb@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: CVS Web maintenance mailing list List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 11 Jul 2005 16:16:43 -0000 On Mon, 2005-07-11 at 17:36 +0200, Lars Eggert wrote: > please consider fixing cvsweb 3.0.5 such that it works (again) with > mod_perl2. See /usr/ports/UPDATING: Could you be a bit more specific about exactly what in CVSweb needs fixing wrt. that? The code does not use any of the mod_perl APIs, and as far as I can tell, the sample httpd.conf snippet included in the cvsweb dist tarball is up to date. Also, is support for the commitids of GNU CVS 1.12.12 planned? With these, CVS finally has gained Changeset support of some kind, however I'd suggest parsing a ChangeLog instead of all 70'000 or so files of /cvs to find out the other files which belong to the changeset. Sample: http://mirbsd.mirsolutions.de/clogs/ChangeLog (Yes, the MirOS project uses latest GNU CVS, and a pretty current CVSweb as well.)
