If there is no installed OO.org dir in your homedir, you'll be prompted to install some files and choose a installed JDK. The setup installs a "OpenOffice.org1.1.4" folder in your homedir. If the setup tells you there is already an installed version, you may look at the file ".sversionrc" in your homedir. In this file OpenOffice and StarOffice have both a line for each version which is installed. After removing the problematic line you should be able to install again. 2 Start OO.org -------------- There are some wrappers installed for fast startup. Add "/usr/local/bin/" to your PATH and you will be able to use them. /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4 /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-sagenda /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-scalc /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-sdraw /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-setup /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-sfax /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-simpress /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-spadmin /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-sweb /usr/local/bin/openoffice.org-1.1.4-swriter OO.org does need $LANG to be set to a suitable value. If it is not already set, a default value is chosen. 3 If you stuck into a trouble -------------------------------------------------- Somehow you can stuck into a trouble.=20 To solve this issue, please remove the already installed "OpenOffice.org1.1.4" dir in your homedir and remove the appropriate entry from ".sversionrc". I cvsupped the system and the ports so they are completely up to date. I then proceeded to build the port the usual way: cd /usr/ports/editors/openoffice-2.0-devel make WITHOUT_MOZILLA=1 WITH_KDE=1 This builds all dependencies nicely and keeps building for a few more hours. Unfortunately, it then bombs out while building the scp2 project: [...] Making: ../unxfbsd.pro/bin/osl/setup_osl.ins /usr/bin/perl /usr/ports/editors/openoffice-2.0-devel/work/solenv/bin/par2script.pl -i ../unxfbsd.pro/par,/usr/ports/editors/openoffice-2.0-devel/work/solver/680/unxfbsd.pro/par @@/tmp/mk68955X -o ../unxfbsd.pro/bin/osl/setup_osl.ins par2script -i ../unxfbsd.pro/par,/usr/ports/editors/openoffice-2.0-devel/work/solver/680/unxfbsd.pro/par @@/tmp/mk68955X -o ../unxfbsd.pro/bin/osl/setup_osl.ins ERROR: Could not include definition block. I have seen this error reported on another mailing list and in a forum - but no solution has ever been posted to my knowledge. I should have known it was WITHOUT_MOZILLA's fault. I was just hoping that because the knob exists in the 2.0 port, it might work as well. I will try again with the WITH_KDE knob only. - Bartosz
