I just tried, only to receive a 5.1.1 bounce.

Do you know when SM quit verifying on FreeBSD?  We've built many a
FreeBSD-based server and router (and a few NetBSD ones), and also
have recommended them... but I don't want to get caught flat-footed by
buying/recommending wonky boards.
