Greetings!
I see on
http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/exhibitions/freebsd.php
that FreeBSD will have an exhibition at the Third Annual Southern
California Linux Expo. Perhaps this should be included on the events page?
Thanks -Sam

On the pages that list ports information (e.g.
http://www.freebsd.org/ports/audio.html), I'm thinking it would be nice
to have a link next to description, sources, etc. to a package's
license. Granted, with so many thousands of ports, it's not something
that's going to happen overnight. However, it could be an invaluable
tool for people who are considering the use of a particular product but
want to first ensure they're OK with the licensing terms.
Perhaps even better would be to put the link down near the "Requires"
and "Also listed in" items, and have the anchor text itself be a short
phrase identifying the type of license (e.g. GPL, Mozilla, etc.). That
way, people can see at a glance what general kind of license is
employed, and those who want to read the actual text can follow the link.
Just a thought. :)

We have native FreeBSD versions of a couple of our products.
Emerald is a billing/management platform for ISPs and the like. RadiusX is an AAA/RADIUS authentication/security server.
If you need to limit the number of product submissions per vendor please use the Emerald description...
Here goes..
Emerald Management Suite
Emerald offers automated billing, reporting, account management,
integrated AAA/RADIUS, CRM, customer self sign-up and management, usage
billing, network accounting, automatic scheduling, provisioning and
powerful security features enabling Virtual ISP and roaming scenarios.
For more information information on Emerald please see the Emerald product page. A
free evaluation license including full product support is avaliable form
the IEA download center.
For an on-line look at the product, a web-based demonstration is
available
here. Emerald runs natively on FreeBSD 5.0 or later.
IEA RadiusX
RadiusX enables secure user based authentication and accounting for
dialup, VPN, Wireless and VOIP environments. Our servers support fully redundant databases and proxy features such as load
balancing, fail-over, rate limiting and store and forward modes making RadiusX an ideal choice for network aggregators.
RadiusX also provides powerful rules-based routing and filtering system allowing custom services to be designed from the GUI without programming.
Full web-based management and reporting included. For complete product information please see the RadiusX product page.
Free evaluation license including full product support is available online from
the IEA download center. IEA also offers a free
RADIUS test and monitoring tool for FreeBSD 5.0 or later.
