Fearing more bloodshed after Sunday's expected announcement of a verdict in the trial of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, Iraq's defense minister has canceled leave for all army officers. Mourners honored the firefighters killed by the California arson fire as the first of five funerals began Friday, and praised authorities for charging the man accused of starting that fire with murder. District Attorney-elect Rod Pacheco said the evidence against Oyler was "overwhelming," but he did not disclose a motive and would not say what led investigators to Oyler. Funeral services were also scheduled over the next several days for firefighters Jess McLean, 27, of Beaumont; Daniel Hoover-Najera, 20, of San Jacinto; Mark Loutzenhiser, 43, of Idyllwild; and Pablo Cerda, 23, of Fountain Valley. A public memorial service for all five men was planned for Sunday. Since seeing MySQL benchmarks with your libthr I have seen you as one of the main guys contributing to increasing performance for FreeBSD. Have ever considered doing a fund raise like Andre Oppermann or Colin Percival have done in the past to continue your good work? I saw a post that you are also working on a scheduler now, I could just imagine a write up on your goals for libthr and this new scheduler with the promise of increased performance would be a pretty tempting / appealing for other FreeBSD users to get some decent funding. From the posts of these other fund raisers they were able to get over 10k in less then a week. I can say that I don't think I am really in a position to really give out these suggestions but I really do think your projects are at the very least as worthy then just about any other. Cheers, Mike
