Nothing was "stopped" but for the last few years OpenBSD/alpha suffered from a reliability bug ("The Alpha Bug") where all alphas would sooner or later suffer a mysterious crash--some machines made it through several make world runs without problem, some would crash several times during a single make world. This bug is now gone. OpenBSD/alpha is reliable again. Graphics console and X11 support is somewhat limited, but then the recent X.org 7.2 update also killed X11 on my PC164 under FreeBSD. -- Christian "naddy" Weisgerber naddy@mips.inka.de From owner-freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Jul 9 11:08:16 2007 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.org Delivered-To: freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [69.147.83.52]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C203916A400 for ; Mon, 9 Jul 2007 11:08:16 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [69.147.83.40]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id AE16213C487 for ; Mon, 9 Jul 2007 11:08:16 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (gnats@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id l69B8GIG044704 for ; Mon, 9 Jul 2007 11:08:16 GMT (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id l69B8FJB044700 for freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.org; Mon, 9 Jul 2007 11:08:15 GMT (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org) Date: Mon, 9 Jul 2007 11:08:15 GMT Message-Id: <200707091108.l69B8FJB044700@freefall.freebsd.org> X-Authentication-Warning: freefall.freebsd.org: gnats set sender to owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org using -f From: FreeBSD bugmaster To: freebsd-alpha@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Current problem reports assigned to you X-BeenThere: freebsd-alpha@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the Alpha List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 09 Jul 2007 11:08:16 -0000 Current FreeBSD problem reports Critical problems S Tracker Resp.
