You have to use marcusmerge.sh script to do it. For the first time user:= 1) Use portsnap or CVSup to update your FreeBSD ports tree. 2) Run 'sh marcusmerge.sh' As for the update: 1) sh marcusmerge.sh -U (to unmerge) 2) Use portsnap or CVSup to update your FreeBSD ports tree. 3) Run 'sh marcusmerge.sh -u' That's it. Be sure to read in = http://www.marcuscom.com:8080/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/ first before you fetch= = that marcusmerge.sh script. I will be getting GNOME 2.20 if 6.3-RELEASE or 7.0-RELEASE is released by re@ someday because pkg_add/pkg_delete is all what I know. Many thanks to the efforts of the FreeBSD GNOME Team, too! I will updating develfaq.html to show how to upgrade from 2.18 to 2.20 tonight when I am home. It is pretty simple to upgrade GNOME. I have successed upgrade in my test box by: # portmaster -o textproc/rarian textproc/scrollkeeper # portmaster -a As for the portupgrade users, I haven't test it but I image that it shouldn't be difference with portmaster. You can do this. # portupgrade -o textproc/rarian textproc/scrollkeeper # portupgrade -a If anyone have any problem with runtime, give us a shout as usually. On the 16th or 17th I upgraded to gnumeric-1.7.12 using the ports. I have found that if I open a comma delimited text file, make changes and save the changed version under a different name and using a pipe for the delimiter the changed version shows up with commas for the delimiter instead. I have tried re-installing gnumeric-1.7.12 and that hasn't helped. An attempt to compile 1.7.10 failed. I'm doing portupgrade -fRr gnumeric now but it hasn't finished yet. I'll next do portupgrade -a this weekend. Can't say if this is just on my machine or what. Thought I'd give you a ring on it. thx, r From owner-freebsd-gnome@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Sep 29 13:00:53 2007 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 154A016A417 for ; Sat, 29 Sep 2007 13:00:53 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from siarodx@gmail.com) Received: from qb-out-0506.google.com (qb-out-0506.google.com [72.14.204.230]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C1EAF13C44B for ; Sat, 29 Sep 2007 13:00:52 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from siarodx@gmail.com) Received: by qb-out-0506.google.com with SMTP id a10so739635qbd for ; Sat, 29 Sep 2007 06:00:52 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=beta; h=domainkey-signature:received:received:date:to:subject:from:content-type:mime-version:content-transfer-encoding:message-id:user-agent; bh=QhJZTJdCq4BuNV4fc2EJfjE6dLsQMOpk/ZJ0UYfp2vc=; b=H+TO+AgLZOvmnLk4q2Xqnr5PTCFaz0f0wzG02lks15j2tkAYicmNLIbaN3QPyG2WZmKXN/TX4BCNHZhdmYfMX0tTaEMHmIo+WUAIZDueS51YAwVdVlh1Tmij3epC+8RnSYERp5+tCkLk0gn/9FaC8JbTH9LGWcefCYeB9z7AjhI= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=beta; h=received:date:to:subject:from:content-type:mime-version:content-transfer-encoding:message-id:user-agent; b=unz9O3/fNevx9UilvGFBJMbPgzK9sDLRrwan7QTslJZarR0In4XA5Ftn5CYolhZLLib03jjOb6ixNzNX8E7G93ctIFHtBtF5fkzO89ZePoUW+mVw0SCuXrljimVLs8WCZQye2gL5af1Nf6VDNzhTF6mNnzacbZRV1qdtxoS31Wo= Received: by 10.65.150.18 with SMTP id c18mr10140755qbo.1191069862505; Sat, 29 Sep 2007 05:44:22 -0700 (PDT) Received: from none-af484bf68e ( [82.59.125.167]) by mx.google.com with ESMTPS id d24sm5383604nfh.2007.09.29.05.44.20 (version=SSLv3 cipher=OTHER); Sat, 29 Sep 2007 05:44:21 -0700 (PDT) Date: Sat, 29 Sep 2007 14:44:16 +0200 To: freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org From: "Diego Sardina" Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; delsp=yes; charset=iso-8859-15 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: Quoted-Printable Message-ID: User-Agent: Opera Mail/9.23 (Win32) Subject: gtk+ 2.10.14 broken with cups 1.3 X-BeenThere: freebsd-gnome@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: GNOME for FreeBSD -- porting and maintaining List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 29 Sep 2007 13:00:53 -0000 This is an issue already fixed in the latest gtk+ stable version, but th= e = old stable version (2.10) still has this issue.
