You are welcome, and thanks for maintaining a lot of gcc ports, too. Now gcc42 is the default compiler for openoffice.org-2-devel. So openoffice.org-2 (2.3) will be build with gcc42. > > Drawbacks > > * Sometimes we need additional gcc42 patches for OOo. > > The good thing here is that GCC 4.2 is still actively maintained > upstream, and several Linux distributions are using GCC 4.1 (and > possibly 4.2) without specific changes. Extra qualification is now error by syntax strictness of gcc4.2 and 4.1. Thus we require some additional patches. But I beileve cost I must pay is not big as the maintainers of OOo in other GNU/Linux distro. are also interested in this issue, so it will be fixed by them very quickly. http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=77818 (see also http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=77829 ) All the best, -- Nakata Maho (maho@FreeBSD.org) From owner-freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Mon May 28 11:11:28 2007 Return-Path: X-Original-To: openoffice@FreeBSD.org Delivered-To: freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [69.147.83.52]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 42CA216A421 for ; Mon, 28 May 2007 11:11:28 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [69.147.83.40]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3292513C45A for ; Mon, 28 May 2007 11:11:28 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (gnats@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id l4SBBR0X070205 for ; Mon, 28 May 2007 11:11:27 GMT (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id l4SBBQ6l070169 for openoffice@FreeBSD.org; Mon, 28 May 2007 11:11:26 GMT (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org) Date: Mon, 28 May 2007 11:11:26 GMT Message-Id: <200705281111.l4SBBQ6l070169@freefall.freebsd.org> X-Authentication-Warning: freefall.freebsd.org: gnats set sender to owner-bugmaster@FreeBSD.org using -f From: FreeBSD bugmaster To: openoffice@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Current problem reports assigned to you X-BeenThere: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting OpenOffice to FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 28 May 2007 11:11:28 -0000 Current FreeBSD problem reports Critical problems Serious problems S Tracker Resp. Whatever would be printed in a large typescript could be glued on cardboard or some other solid background. I'm thinking of one of my personal meditations or a Shakespearian sonnet or the Gettysburg address. I need to know if openoffice has the printer settings to do this. Whenever I try to write something in a large font on a "letter" sized page, the lines wrap; this is not what I want! If OpenOffice isn't the right application, is there any other?
