I think you misunderstand how this port works. It installs the TrueType 
font files for you. You don't need to put TTF or Type1 files anywhere. 
Simply restart your X server and the new fonts should become available.

They will reside in "/usr/local/lib/X11/fonts/webfonts", so if that path 
is not listed as a FontPath in your X11 configuration, you will need to 
add it.
