FWIW, I use a boot script (freebsd.tbxi). when is pressed on boot, the bootscript will load the FreeBSD loader and then FreeBSD boots. More info in the first 2007-01-29 entry on this page: http://tingox.googlepages.com/powermac_g4_freebsd The only problem with this approach is that Itend to keep space pressed for too long, and then end up in the FreeBSD boot loader, and have to issue the 'boot' command manually. Not a big problem, the machine runs FreeBSD all the time anyway. -- Regards, Torfinn Ingolfsen From owner-freebsd-ppc@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Nov 2 00:14:27 2007 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B041B16A419 for ; Fri, 2 Nov 2007 00:14:27 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from dtougas@bates.edu) Received: from postoffice03.bates.edu (postoffice03.bates.edu [134.181.130.141]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5C50B13C465 for ; Fri, 2 Nov 2007 00:14:26 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from dtougas@bates.edu) Received: from a7634.bates.edu (a7634.bates.edu [134.181.240.134]) (authenticated bits=0) by postoffice03.bates.edu (8.13.1/8.13.1) with ESMTP id lA1GMTLi032729 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=NO) for ; Thu, 1 Nov 2007 12:22:30 -0400 Message-ID: <4729FD47.7070806@bates.edu> Date: Thu, 01 Nov 2007 12:22:31 -0400 From: Damien Tougas User-Agent: Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 (Macintosh/20070728) MIME-Version: 1.0 To: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org Content-Type: multipart/signed; protocol="application/x-pkcs7-signature"; micalg=sha1; boundary="------------ms070609000209010701070407" X-PMX-Version: 5.3.3.310218, Antispam-Engine: 2.5.2.313940, Antispam-Data: 2007.11.1.90919 Subject: 17" PowerBook G4?
