The following reply was made to PR ports/118217; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Myra Nelson" <outerrimlogging@gmail.com> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, mirko.steiner@slashdevslashnull.de Cc: Subject: re: ports/118217: xorg doesnt find usb mouse when initiated with devd, with moused works fine Date: Sun, 16 Mar 2008 20:18:43 -0500 I had the same problem recently setting up a 6.3 system. I didn't think to look at the Xorg log files since I'm fairly new to bsd and Linux, but found this report in my search on freebsd. I configured the mouse via the /etc/rc.conf file and everything worked fine. I since reloaded Ubuntu on that box, but will be building a server in the next few months with freebsd 7.0 and will have a chance to test this again. Hope this helps as I'm trying to learn my way around the etiquette of making bug reports and asking for help.
