But when you go into the OpenOffice character property to set the language, none of the installed dictionaries display in the selection list as installed - and of course no spell checking happens. Is it a known problem ? If not a known/resolved problem, beyond listing the installed versions & packages, is there any useful feedback I could dig up? The more severe issue is, parallel build does not always work. :( Lets have a look at it: That build command offers TWO options "-P". One of them decides how many "Modules" are built in parallel, and the other decides how many Processes are run simultaneously (seemingly *within* one "Module's" build). With 3.0.1 I noticed that when parallelizing Processes, the build would fail, but when parallelizing Modules, it did work. (I didn't investigate further.) With the Makefile as it is now, the build does fail again. This time i saved the logfile, and it shows: >dmake: Error: -- `../unxfbsdi.pro/slb/security.lib' not found, and can't be made And then, a couple of lines *LATER*(!): >echo unxfbsdi.pro/slo/permissions.o unxfbsdi.pro/slo/access_controller.o unxfbsdi.pro/slo/file_policy.o | xargs -n1 > ../../unxfbsdi.pro/slb/security.lib >making .dpslo >Making: ../../unxfbsdi.pro/slb/security.lib This is NOT reproducible and did NOT happen at the next run. So I cannot say if parallelizing Modules would be more safe than parallelizing processes, or vice versa. I suggest people should experiment with this. Fact is that the parallelization is not very failsafe. I don't see any "bad tranfer url" error, and installing dictionaries works fine, its when installing template packages and other extensions that we ran across this directory bug. ALSO, ON WHICH 7-STABLE YOU BUILD OOO IS VERY IMPORTANT. So, could you please check your FBSD version? The behaviour of bridge part is quite different later than FreeBSD 702104 (2009/7/14) (see http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/porters-handbook/book.html; actually ld.so fix has been introduced between 702103 - 702104). So if you are using 702104, 5 ... and build ooo on the same version, and if it works, then I'm very happy that ld.so fix is ok. I think old binaries should work on late 7-STABLE, of course. So, could you please check your FBSD version?
