I agree with you about Kerberos and SAP being too old to be relevant for the recent releases. Although I managed to get the SAPGUI working a while ago [1], they recently removed the Java version from their FTP server, so that is no longer an option. But that is a different story... The only comment I have about your patch is that you added some SGML-comments in various places (starting with "rene"). If you want, you can add some of them to the handbook section of the DocIdeaList [2] for someone to work on them. That way, you can remove the comments from your patch before committing it, but keep the comments as a sort of todo-list in the wiki. We prefer something like New port: <category>/<portname> - <short description of the port> for new ports and - Update port: <category>/<portname> - <short description of the update> for port updates. + <short description of the port>. If you stick to this scheme, the chance that someone will take a look at your PR soon is much better.

Meaning in my local handbook the CUPS article is now part of the printing chapter of the handbook. Outstanding tasks: - - Check if information in there is still up-to-date/correct. - - Optimize/fix markup. - - Provide example of printer installation? - - Include some screenshots? All of them get build from share/doc/papers, of course. There are two redundant Makefiles that are unused and, sadly, one of the papers lives in contrib (nvi, papers last touched >10 years ago). Will anybody veto against me moving this stuff under share/doc/papers? % find . -name \*.doc -type d ./lib/libc/rpc/PSD.doc ./bin/csh/USD.doc ./contrib/nvi/docs/USD.doc ./sbin/fsck_ffs/SMM.doc ./usr.sbin/config/SMM.doc ./usr.sbin/lpr/SMM.doc ./usr.sbin/timed/SMM.doc ./usr.bin/make/PSD.doc ./usr.bin/dc/USD.doc ./usr.bin/gprof/PSD.doc ./usr.bin/mail/USD.doc ./usr.bin/bc/USD.doc Uli
