Executing 'set hw.ata.atapi_dma=0' in loader prompt also have no effect except UDMA33 changes to PIO4 for CD-ROM. Can you please give any suggestions, why such a behavior can occur? In case anyone else is trying to get sc2 running: I have tried with an 8.1-RELEASE kernel, but had no success logging on. Without changing other configuration, it got fixed installing a 8-STABLE kernel.
