A startup in Dardanelle, Arkansas, is looking for a full-time programmer with FreeBSD system administrator responsibilities. The job is on-site. No tele-commute. The applications run on FreeBSD servers, and are written for the web in Perl, PHP, and C. Must be able to hit the ground running in, at least, Perl and PHP. Applications range from e-commerce to user interfaces for industrial control devices. Some VPN and Cisco experience would be a plus. Will also be doing testing of industrial control board prototypes. Must be willing to get your hands dirty. You will be expected to do whatever is asked of you, whether or not it is computing related. If you don't know how, you will need to be able to teach yourself how, quickly. The owner is very supportive. If you really need something, it shows up, somehow. I worked for the owner during the dot-com boom when he had an ISP. He is the best boss I have worked for, equal parts demanding and supportive. -- Scott Lambert KC5MLE Unix SysAdmin lambert@lambertfam.org
