I tried a null modem and a straight through cable, connected to serial port 1 on O2. I did "setenv console d" in PROM, and unplugged the keyboard. I connect from another fbsd box with "cu -l /dev/cuau0" After a few seconds I just get "link down", no console prompt or anything else appearing. Please advise many thanks anton -- Anton Shterenlikht Room 2.6, Queen's Building Mech Eng Dept Bristol University University Walk, Bristol BS8 1TR, UK Tel: +44 (0)117 331 5944 Fax: +44 (0)117 929 4423
