I reviewed the patch, and I liked it. Couldn't find anything wrong with it when I first looked at it. Would be nice if things were more flexible, but since generalizing from a sample size of one can be hard, I totally agree. I've only tested mips*-kfreebsd-gnu, which is the cross-build environment I've setup, but I took care to ensure that my patches would also work for FreeBSD. If you want to test it, my port has been merged in latest CVS. Btw http://wiki.freebsd.org/FreeBSD/mips/todo has an item regarding this, which I'm unable to update (lack of permissions). -- Robert Millan From owner-freebsd-mips@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Dec 31 15:06:03 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-mips@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D975B1065672; Fri, 31 Dec 2010 15:06:03 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from rmh.aybabtu@gmail.com) Received: from mail-iw0-f182.google.com (mail-iw0-f182.google.com [209.85.214.182]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8E0EB8FC13; Fri, 31 Dec 2010 15:06:03 +0000 (UTC) Received: by iwn39 with SMTP id 39so11981087iwn.13 for ; Fri, 31 Dec 2010 07:06:03 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:mime-version:received:sender:received :in-reply-to:references:date:x-google-sender-auth:message-id:subject :from:to:cc:content-type:content-transfer-encoding; bh=x5Wqg4C8hQ0rsre9AsyjQsy/WEJ0q0SLsUAoWTryXpo=; b=U/eKmThO0vocx4onOZIHKl35H3HGk7AGpI8r7ZGhe5m1FcRSFPvwL2DY5+O8rrrCDD HgAGrD3EhHlnxI3HcJ07aGEOe+sZexVdSEpUS0dtghtdWZE97fR2qnMmDSIBsCYV60zs voqt8hyVvEbjh1kgMR/gBPglaqR2vzx0jmu/Y= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=mime-version:sender:in-reply-to:references:date :x-google-sender-auth:message-id:subject:from:to:cc:content-type :content-transfer-encoding; b=a27FflafkXfreuBjPyTIhkBi2/dvKRstivjdD+niw+oExKIWVxNstUsuTBWC7JUulI FfNSPtwN6piRRcJoZV6Nkqfp/DjoCXxWoJ7A/kOLWHt14+h2wqu+Hx6finrqI1iy84xt bP/MjZem8c2ZSZGl3dW4oynqz9DQjX4f5Ocyo= MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.42.170.1 with SMTP id d1mr17944281icz.227.1293807963186; Fri, 31 Dec 2010 07:06:03 -0800 (PST) Sender: rmh.aybabtu@gmail.com Received: by 10.231.5.153 with HTTP; Fri, 31 Dec 2010 07:06:03 -0800 (PST) In-Reply-To: <4D1A5142.5090205@bsdimp.com> References: <4D1A1B83.5070602@bsdimp.com> <4D1A5142.5090205@bsdimp.com> Date: Fri, 31 Dec 2010 16:06:03 +0100 X-Google-Sender-Auth: GMkGkpPJynxg-rAkJBcRKMB2heU Message-ID: From: Robert Millan To: Warner Losh Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Cc: freebsd-mips@freebsd.org Subject: Re: [PATCH] Retrieval of TLS pointer via RDHWR X-BeenThere: freebsd-mips@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to MIPS List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 31 Dec 2010 15:06:03 -0000 2010/12/28 Warner Losh : > I reviewed the patch, and I liked it. =C2=A0Couldn't find anything wrong = with it > when I first looked at it. =C2=A0Would be nice if things were more flexib= le, but > since generalizing from a sample size of one can be hard, I totally agree= . Great. So will someone commit this? :-) --=20 Robert Millan
