I've attributed it to problems with restoring floating point registers from signal return, so when it happened last (about 5 minutes ago) I decided to attach gdb to it to check the values of the FPRs. Examination came up with nothing useful, so I detached and went to restart X. However, upon detaching, I found that the mouse cursor has been restored to working order, so no X restart was necessary. This is somewhat confusing, I didn't expect gdb to modify the state of the running process at all, but maybe someone else can shed some light on this. - Justin From owner-freebsd-ppc@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Mar 19 07:57:21 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8C133106566C for ; Fri, 19 Mar 2010 07:57:21 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bounces@nabble.com) Received: from kuber.nabble.com (kuber.nabble.com [216.139.236.158]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6D2DA8FC12 for ; Fri, 19 Mar 2010 07:57:21 +0000 (UTC) Received: from isper.nabble.com ([192.168.236.156]) by kuber.nabble.com with esmtp (Exim 4.63) (envelope-from ) id 1NsWqJ-0005Lt-Ck for freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org; Fri, 19 Mar 2010 00:42:03 -0700 Message-ID: <27950912.post@talk.nabble.com> Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2010 00:42:03 -0700 (PDT) From: 540hal To: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org In-Reply-To: <5157BA5A65744930AAAB37F288A73C6D@jondesktop> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Nabble-From: haraldmu@gmail.com References: <5157BA5A65744930AAAB37F288A73C6D@jondesktop> Subject: Re: FreeBSD/powerpc on MPC5121 X-BeenThere: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the PowerPC List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2010 07:57:21 -0000 hi, I have a limepc z9, too and also'd like to install another OS. Boot from USB might work... I thought fedora for PPC. I already installed opera for PPC linux on it. Works fine. My reason to move away from LimeOS: wireless network does not work stable anymore... bye, hal. Jon BONG wrote: > > Hi Rafal > > Is there a downloaded livecd for FreeBSD for MPC5121? Liquid-cooling pumps are not currently supported, since I do not have liquid-cooled hardware handy. Thanks to Peter Grehan for implementation advice! -Nathan
