Hello! I put in an old Matrox card in -- it certainly works in text mode. pciconf describes it as: vgapci0@pci0:1:7:0: class=0x030000 card=0x00000000 chip=0x0d10102b rev=0x00 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Matrox Electronic Systems Ltd.' device = 'MGA-I Athena (Ultima/Impression board)' class = display subclass = VGA I used the x11-drivers/xf86-video-mga <http://www.freshports.org/x11-drivers/xf86-video-mga> port to install the mga-driver (version 1.4.11). The xorg.conf entry is: Section "Device" Identifier "Matrox" Driver "mga" VendorName "XF86" BoardName "MGA-I Athena" BusID "PCI:1:7:0" Option "ForcePciDma" "on" EndSection But it is not seen by the Xorg-7.5: (II) MGA: driver for Matrox chipsets: mga2064w, mga1064sg, mga2164w, mga2164w AGP, mgag100, mgag100 PCI, mgag200, mgag200 PCI, mgag200 SE A PCI, mgag200 SE B PCI, mgag200 EV Maxim, mgag200 eW Nuvoton, mgag200eH, mgag400, mgag550 (II) Primary Device is: (EE) No devices detected. I don't think, FreeBSD's mgadrm sees it either... Any suggestions? Thanks! -mi
