I've seen this issue twice during this summer: The first time was on i386 system at 03.06.2011 (uptime was about 200 days) and the second --- on amd64 one at 01.08.2011 (uptime was about 260 days). The issue is in that system continues to respond icmp requests (pings), but other network services (for example ssh) are inoperate). The physical console also do not responce on keyboard events (the last message is: "ciss0: ADAPTER HEARTBEAT FAILED"). Only initialized by reset button reboot returns system to normal operation. P.S. Earliear I've failed with attemp to install on this hardware the FreeBSD 8.1. >How-To-Repeat: I'm not shure, that this issue could be reproduced intentionally. >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: From owner-freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Aug 3 18:21:42 2011 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0597E106566B for ; Wed, 3 Aug 2011 18:21:42 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from tomdean@speakeasy.org) Received: from mail2.sea5.speakeasy.net (mail2.sea5.speakeasy.net [69.17.117.41]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id DC9918FC0A for ; Wed, 3 Aug 2011 18:21:41 +0000 (UTC) Received: (qmail 29223 invoked from network); 3 Aug 2011 17:55:00 -0000 Received: from 24-113-112-30.wavecable.com (HELO [192.168.2.2]) (tomdean@[24.113.112.30]) (envelope-sender ) by mail2.sea5.speakeasy.net (qmail-ldap-1.03) with SMTP for ; 3 Aug 2011 17:55:00 -0000 From: "Thomas D.
