When I run jackd and jack-rack I get this message: ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory jackd still running after that, but jack-rack stops after connect to jack server showing the message above. I'd like to understand if this is a common problem with a known workaround. If it's not, I don't even know what information should I provide, relevant to get help. Thanks. * *$ uname -a FreeBSD machine.STUDIO 8.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE #0: Fri Feb 18 02:24:46 UTC 2011 root@almeida.cse.buffalo.edu:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386 $ jack-rack Status update: jack_rack_4434 Status update: Connected to JACK server Status update: Creating output port 'out_1' Status update: Creating input port 'in_1' Status update: Creating output port 'out_2' Status update: Creating input port 'in_2' ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file or directory Assertion failed: (seq), function snd_seq_client_id, file seq.c, line 1174. -- Marcel Bonnet
