For example, when an adapter is connected to a nearby LAN switch via a short cable, it works days at full speed without infamous freezes. However, when the adapter is used as a WAN interface (long cable towards unknown ISP hardware), it shows a crippled bandwidth, and ifconfig may report OACTIVE flag on ue0. After my tinkering described above the mouse stopped working even in Windows. I reinstalled drivers there and repaired successfully after all. Then in PC-BSD I returned to the setup I use with FreeBSD (loading modules/services) and removed caches and restarted and finally I got it working. Instead of reporting all wire errors as SCSI status errors to CAM (that was wrong, as it too often turned retriable wire errors into non-retriable REQUEST SENSE errors), do it only for STALL errors on control pipe of the CBI devices. STALL on control pipe is just a one of the ways to report error for CBI devices. PR: usb/150401, usb/154593. If 0 does not mean off, then maybe some bias value is computed wrong. Compile kernel with options USB_DEBUG and enable hw.usb.uaudio.debug=15 Then look in dmesg for minimum and maximum mixer ctl. values. --HPS From owner-freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Apr 21 04:32:21 2011 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-usb@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D4AAD106566B for ; Thu, 21 Apr 2011 04:32:21 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from richard@sigil.org) Received: from mail-yx0-f182.google.com (mail-yx0-f182.google.com [209.85.213.182]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8EB388FC0C for ; Thu, 21 Apr 2011 04:32:21 +0000 (UTC) Received: by yxl31 with SMTP id 31so516267yxl.13 for ; Wed, 20 Apr 2011 21:32:20 -0700 (PDT) Received: by 10.151.24.21 with SMTP id b21mr106508ybj.387.1303360340045; Wed, 20 Apr 2011 21:32:20 -0700 (PDT) Received: from magus.portal.sigil.org (ip72-202-157-83.ks.ks.cox.net [72.202.157.83]) by mx.google.com with ESMTPS id c8sm25955ybn.23.2011.04.20.21.32.17 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=OTHER); Wed, 20 Apr 2011 21:32:18 -0700 (PDT) Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2011 23:31:21 -0500 From: Richard Kolkovich To: freebsd-usb@freebsd.org Message-ID: <20110421043121.GA4279@magus.portal.sigil.org> References: <20110217185328.GB3583@magus.portal.sigil.org> <20110420191257.GA7095@magus.portal.sigil.org> <201104202147.43914.hselasky@c2i.net> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="K8nIJk4ghYZn606h" Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <201104202147.43914.hselasky@c2i.net> X-OS: FreeBSD magus 8.2-STABLE amd64 X-Mailer: Mutt 1.5.21 (2010-09-15) X-Composed-With: vim X-PGP-Key: http://sarumont.sigil.org/pubkey.asc User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.21 (2010-09-15) Subject: Re: Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Audio X-BeenThere: freebsd-usb@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD support for USB List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 21 Apr 2011 04:32:21 -0000 --K8nIJk4ghYZn606h Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="17pEHd4RhPHOinZp" Content-Disposition: inline --17pEHd4RhPHOinZp Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Wed, Apr 20, 2011 at 09:47:43PM +0200, Hans Petter Selasky wrote: > On Wednesday 20 April 2011 21:12:57 Richard Kolkovich wrote: >=20 > Hi, >=20 > Have a look at /sys/dev/sound/usb/uaudio.c . >=20 > USB Mixer control's range are part of the audio descriptors in the=20 > configuration descriptor.
