: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=kern/174504 I have been able to do a suspend(S3)/resume operation in text mode (it works, but console stays dark at resume, I had to connect through ssh ; also, resume hangs if X is started with i915kms.ko loaded) and collect the following verbose logs : Jun 13 14:39:59 laptop acpi: suspend at 20130613 14:39:59 Jun 13 14:40:03 laptop kernel: Is this with a stock kernel? Yep, but only with minimum debugger support (I commented out the "full debugger support" section). I obtained these logs without serial cable, by connecting through ssh after resume. -- Ganael LAPLANCHE http://www.martymac.org | http://contribs.martymac.org FreeBSD: martymac , http://www.FreeBSD.org From owner-freebsd-acpi@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Jun 14 16:03:38 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-acpi@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A59F49DE; Fri, 14 Jun 2013 16:03:38 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jhb@freebsd.org) Received: from bigwig.baldwin.cx (bigwig.baldwin.cx [IPv6:2001:470:1f11:75::1]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 50CFE1820; Fri, 14 Jun 2013 16:03:38 +0000 (UTC) Received: from jhbbsd.localnet (unknown [209.249.190.124]) by bigwig.baldwin.cx (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id E6E4DB915; Fri, 14 Jun 2013 12:03:34 -0400 (EDT) From: John Baldwin To: matt Subject: Re: Fixing X220 Video The Right Way Date: Fri, 14 Jun 2013 11:39:16 -0400 User-Agent: KMail/1.13.5 (FreeBSD/8.2-CBSD-20110714-p25; KDE/4.5.5; amd64; ; ) References: <512A6FFF.2060603@gmail.com> <201302281209.45170.jhb@freebsd.org> <51394952.9030700@gmail.com> In-Reply-To: <51394952.9030700@gmail.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Message-Id: <201306141139.16728.jhb@freebsd.org> X-Greylist: Sender succeeded SMTP AUTH, not delayed by milter-greylist-4.2.7 (bigwig.baldwin.cx); Fri, 14 Jun 2013 12:03:35 -0400 (EDT) Cc: Adrian Chadd , freebsd-current@freebsd.org, freebsd-acpi@freebsd.org X-BeenThere: freebsd-acpi@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list List-Id: ACPI and power management development List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 14 Jun 2013 16:03:38 -0000 On Thursday, March 07, 2013 9:13:38 pm matt wrote: > On 02/28/13 09:09, John Baldwin wrote: > > On Thursday, February 28, 2013 8:15:46 am matt wrote: > >> On 02/27/13 12:27, John Baldwin wrote: > >>> On Wednesday, February 27, 2013 1:35:43 pm matt wrote: > >>>> On 02/27/13 09:00, John Baldwin wrote: > >>>>> If that is true, it's because your BIOS is lying. I've asked -CURRENT about the I tried single quotes, double quotes, double backslash, and I meant to try ascii escapes next :) I'm glad you got this working, it makes the X220 (and probably other laptops with similar issues) more usable on FreeBSD.
