Since then, Street View on Google Maps complains I need Flash version 10 or newer and won't continue. Before that, I had to restart chromium or, on sites that had flash, it would drop down the yellow message bar at the top saying I needed to install flash player. I want to say I noticed that before last night's upgrade but I'm not sure. I had not had any of these problems for several months on my new AMD64 system with FreeBSD 9.2. In addition, I just tried to start up Firefox and my whole system froze for a minute till FF finished something but did not continue loading the web page. dmesg says this: "linux: pid 1641 (npviewer.bin): syscall pipe2 not implemented" From owner-freebsd-chromium@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Nov 16 16:22:19 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ADH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 10FDFBFA for ; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 16:22:19 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mail-ie0-x22e.google.com (mail-ie0-x22e.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:4001:c03::22e]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-RC4-SHA (128/128 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id DC5D12890 for ; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 16:22:18 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-ie0-f174.google.com with SMTP id at1so595066iec.33 for ; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 08:22:18 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=mime-version:date:message-id:subject:from:to:content-type; bh=6XE7sC+vcLMwFKkDZBK2Uzyi4Zv25alE7lnvPhJseRc=; b=QDja9aKcmsOK+Kg74m/05SI9o4eoLn/qtNyEofy1kNtBSnO0YWxjAEhIcbwvTwKUms qwf5IDYzocFeYi2Opo6n/9g1dNPmotRlIW4HgSkfSsAqjiD9MQo/UF1TcTXPhMjG1o/9 38NPDUq6M9Fp3Bb6JyNB2xPcbGphEt+6GxOKXFAUUhewALIgKs6W1GXTTEvnelt91GOX 246HzYiZB0josZG5JBICpV/I3yJ0iICmcI//nfgWVtcFWhU4dAyA10tI0/wNBoRyMHJV OWmJdestu+golpc0V6oYdb1V9kM/tRk3EEVGpo6IPoDIAZDu8wz0KJHP3atc0dSfJyfh Npcg== MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Received: by 10.50.23.103 with SMTP id l7mr8030594igf.3.1384618937910; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 08:22:17 -0800 (PST) Received: by 10.50.1.241 with HTTP; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 08:22:17 -0800 (PST) Date: Sat, 16 Nov 2013 10:22:17 -0600 Message-ID: Subject: Re: Chromium can no longer find flash player From: Rob Belics To: freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.16 X-BeenThere: freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.16 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD-specific Chromium issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 16 Nov 2013 16:22:19 -0000 More info: *** NSPlugin Viewer *** ERROR: /usr/local/lib/npapi/linux-f10-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory From owner-freebsd-chromium@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Nov 16 17:15:46 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [8.8.178.115]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ADH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 0F6DC7CD for ; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 17:15:46 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mail-ie0-x230.google.com (mail-ie0-x230.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:4001:c03::230]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-RC4-SHA (128/128 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id DAD882ADE for ; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 17:15:45 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-ie0-f176.google.com with SMTP id x13so6739470ief.35 for ; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 09:15:45 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=mime-version:date:message-id:subject:from:to:content-type; bh=6HN76Z8uQ/oq6EhkzEuLtcwJpBl3JpHdUemYkZ4xaSc=; b=fsU8BWG3NCXl/QXaab3TPQx7O/Fpv63/rEO+4U97nq/jYv66JEGpWimujCaZdXenO5 pVNQA6JvnIRcyggBXM8Zk6/KVVe+sSSL5lOHykVBtv6dpul7e6Zg6DRJhu/doujV/PPD VzR+JZDib2oVnqJQC74MVTWFcy0aH2+29BHuXNtsMQ6QTx/iubtMoZEWQNC+71JNSg1W 9ohPin1TAwwNaL2WSTYDH0MvXvD4JBFnuC5GKsWugfg9h+LSmESiuA0lJXVEwFoIxpwI RkYWAJValpGDpxnzh3cn4QJwnKbr3p3XJChh9evESJj8NOkh3d9Px2tgr2c5WHq9JBXD iy1g== MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Received: by 10.50.62.3 with SMTP id u3mr8057440igr.49.1384622145421; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 09:15:45 -0800 (PST) Received: by 10.50.1.241 with HTTP; Sat, 16 Nov 2013 09:15:45 -0800 (PST) Date: Sat, 16 Nov 2013 11:15:45 -0600 Message-ID: Subject: Re: Chromium can no longer find flash player From: Rob Belics To: freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.16 X-BeenThere: freebsd-chromium@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.16 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD-specific Chromium issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 16 Nov 2013 17:15:46 -0000 Apparently this may be a flashplugin problem or npapi problem, or even a ports problem, cause others have the same issue including Firefox. So I'm guessing this is not a Chromium issue directly.
