It looks like ieee80211_regdomain.h should be regenerated (or fixed?): /data/src/sys/net80211/ieee80211_regdomain.h: SKU_ROW = 0x81, /* China/Taiwan/Rest of World */ /etc/regdomain.xml: ROW 0x8a .... And I'm not sure, that all other constants are Ok, it is only value I've checked, as `bsnmpd' complains about unknown regodmain 0x8a. -- // Black Lion AKA Lev Serebryakov From owner-freebsd-wireless@FreeBSD.ORG Sun Apr 7 09:08:07 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2C7C9206; Sun, 7 Apr 2013 09:08:07 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from adrian.chadd@gmail.com) Received: from mail-da0-x22a.google.com (mail-da0-x22a.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:400e:c00::22a]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 079AE1F0C; Sun, 7 Apr 2013 09:08:07 +0000 (UTC) Received: by mail-da0-f42.google.com with SMTP id n15so2182905dad.1 for ; Sun, 07 Apr 2013 02:08:06 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=mime-version:x-received:sender:in-reply-to:references:date :x-google-sender-auth:message-id:subject:from:to:cc:content-type; bh=n3VliD7trBOCDlKuVJyd0dxUA/ad9R91oO4HO1Cryso=; b=p6p3zcDMKd5Yzcw8QbELrQUQRpbvRmkVaWjgtjrUXwFh+uQQ5aZ1i55HNdRYy5zMKo LirTym7nlPHKkuc/eQjNRWIx8hiIl7wP6b/qCo94/nZWMrW9iuHUaWhMePILMKAjAsO+ pD6cb1PjZLJaN5JzkLNYxOf/Dlp32H/iRUUzgtRDwSXvo4MYj3gi9Abze+iRMh7fa/hu imWLm9YCRoY18s5pj2pPM+mSxxSGkwi5bsO/Vdj5+D6RLUBPc5sbRY9pPpcdR+AL9yKL S+huqeBMixkiTxZ9G6MNfjhrfHWAYjBIet/tqhAyJCUln5u7uBasKcMr84HhrlpgfJrO YHzQ== MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Received: by 10.66.20.7 with SMTP id j7mr26798607pae.142.1365325686592; Sun, 07 Apr 2013 02:08:06 -0700 (PDT) Sender: adrian.chadd@gmail.com Received: by 10.70.20.228 with HTTP; Sun, 7 Apr 2013 02:08:06 -0700 (PDT) In-Reply-To: <169202414.20130407122832@serebryakov.spb.ru> References: <169202414.20130407122832@serebryakov.spb.ru> Date: Sun, 7 Apr 2013 02:08:06 -0700 X-Google-Sender-Auth: TcpPcCwhXHjzDFUymjUwFCqPMAM Message-ID: Subject: Re: sys/net80211/ieee80211_regdomain.h is pout of sync with /etc/regdomain.xml From: Adrian Chadd To: Lev Serebryakov Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Cc: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org X-BeenThere: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list List-Id: "Discussions of 802.11 stack, tools device driver development." Everything still works fine in my very common and not-demanding workflow (ie. connecting to a WPA2 AP and using Bluetooth with a BT-USB Broadcom adapter). Sweet. My initial testing: * AR9485 BT detects (kldload ng_bt) but it doesn't work - I bet the antenna configuration is just not being written in so it never gets any actual antenna time; * AR9462 bluetooth works out of the box. HOWEVER - bluetooth coexistence isn't configured at all for either of them. The code is in my open HAL, but I have to write a bluetooth coexistence shim for the driver and have it know how to configure things. And to make things ridiculous, plenty of vendors have "odd" ideas of how to wire up the bluetooth NICs, so one profile doesn't just "work". It's one of those reasons why Atheros doesn't ship a single driver any longer - so much is tweaked by the registry, so vendors can and do use this. :( adrian From owner-freebsd-wireless@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Apr 10 17:20:01 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-wireless@smarthost.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 909ED5FB for ; Wed, 10 Apr 2013 17:20:01 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206c::16:87]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 68DF7B6B for ; Wed, 10 Apr 2013 17:20:01 +0000 (UTC) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.6/8.14.6) with ESMTP id r3AHK1EE080780 for ; Wed, 10 Apr 2013 17:20:01 GMT (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.6/8.14.6/Submit) id r3AHK1OQ080779; Wed, 10 Apr 2013 17:20:01 GMT (envelope-from gnats) Date: Wed, 10 Apr 2013 17:20:01 GMT Message-Id: <201304101720.r3AHK1OQ080779@freefall.freebsd.org> To: freebsd-wireless@FreeBSD.org Cc: From: hiren panchasara Subject: Re: kern/175870: [iwn] /etc/rc.d/netif restart cause system crash X-BeenThere: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list Reply-To: hiren panchasara List-Id: "Discussions of 802.11 stack, tools device driver development."
