Often, this is due to a better alternative having become available and/or the cessation of development on the existing port. In some cases, ports are marked for removal because they fail to build and install correctly from their sources, or otherwise fail in operation. The ports, and the reason and date that they have been scheduled for removal, are listed below. If no one has stepped forward before that time to propose a way to fix the problems (such as via a PR), the ports will be deleted. portname: x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati613 description: X.Org ati display driver maintainer: x11@FreeBSD.org deprecated because: Old version, use xf86-video-ati instead expiration date: 2013-05-10 build errors: none. overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=x11-drivers&portname=xf86-video-ati613 If this problem is one that you are already aware of, please accept our apologies and ignore this message. On the other hand, if you no longer wish to maintain this port (or ports), please reply with a message stating that, and accept our thanks for your efforts in the past. Thanks for your efforts to help improve FreeBSD. I don't know if you can get all those things yet on FreeBSD, nor if even having them would allow it all to work, given the missing documentation in the driver. I have run a few IvyBridge/SandyBridge graphics cards om laptops and at work and knew you don't get back to console with i915kms but recently my home computer broke down and just realised the user switch does not work either. Is there any trick to solve this now or do I have to wait for a more mature version of KMS (and buy another computer for each user)? The multi-session X requires support for multi-minors, which newer DRM infrastructure lacks right now. I assume that Alexander (Cc:ed) has patches which implement the multi-minors for dev/drm2. --G44BJl3Aq1QbV/QL Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.19 (FreeBSD) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJRfCRpAAoJEJDCuSvBvK1B2ecP+wbEaiyInnL+Gput1hG/DvVq O3w8R1oNp1bZuS2ujoFCzB4GlgeD2dh/nXbYl50qIUU8qdEYi/MhgfCcWUIM5SpU ZwQPJzKLSWzDMQZ2zYV80xJ6fnY0yYKrwEyj/B2SKpLrlw9eswywh4YLwJO4ms7Y IX0mlseE2Ae8aSnNgAavNDp+oN2I+V9NQWlaRX8JXfZICE3/Hvziz9GVLTBBHBvO DZyXrtxt+YHWfldy63viqpU74dIQjqq1ESiENh3E0xTymFiGouOmk9uBxpzAzvM3 A8nnSuPmMbUKYVkCGdsOLcU94KOyQjFPxM2XcqeiFxiMAjVuEqcjhq/DhY3bd21N LL/H0AqT11oLKO4JovLUaSeOXGyYVpkuc6nas2lp5Dqo6G/ivY3l1tbANbI14sjc l3HlSwCeeBHkE4FI0CTaOxQO5WM+SQ4cwZ8FRvP7CFJaQbr1zRja7mmLGyy/Sy4p n2Ckp5QesXYQU3OKPx9VPmeXlRVueGo1+98iHoKza14ZLA3HgLPO4V+QS2UTYD/E mCe6tm7ntAiFy7NsNJcheWHsED/25y7C+ihmjwKy7fBb5sTxHTQkIYrpn2valG20 T8yhdvkYAti1UQA6nkpXbrJ+IitzpfXmiPhlc/9L43l734cVZp2W/m5ZPJT+pFVp urqQGjoABgZF6fWQ4iNi =ho+V -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --G44BJl3Aq1QbV/QL--
