This problem has persisted since I upgraded to 38.0.1 from the FreeBSD package repository, but obviously MLB.com could change its web page at any time. BACKGROUND: I did not see this problem prior to upgrading to firefox 38.0.1 a while back. Upgrading from 38.0.1 to 38.0.6 didn't help. I don't know for sure whether the problem is the result of changes to firefox or to the web page visited, but the problem began upon upgrading to 38.0.1. uname -a: FreeBSD {myhostname} 10.1-RELEASE-p10 FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p10 #0: Wed May 13 06:54:13 UTC 2015 root@amd64-builder.daemonology.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64 freebsd-version: 10.1-RELEASE-p13 firefox --version: (process:1118): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed Mozilla Firefox 38.0.6 [That GLib-CRITICAL error has been happening for months. It is not new with v38 and has not observably been a problem in practice.] THE PROBLEM: Lots of "critical" error messages emitted, firefox get very slow, and the web page is displayed poorly (or is all black). Upon going to http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/scoreboard/index.jsp, many parts of the web page initially appear, but then the error messages below begin. Shortly after that, the web page changes to black (probably as part of trying to play video). The Status line at the bottom shows that web documents continue to be loaded and processed. Sometimes it gets far enough to display a bit of video. Other times the web page just remains black. Scrolling up or down still works (scrollbar moves). The error messages didn't stop until I either quit or went to another web page -- I've only included the first few lines below. I've seen the counter in the middle of "716|[1][GFX1]" reach [557] before I switched to a different web page, and I have no reason to think it would ever have stopped if I had remained on the web page. This is the only web page on which I've observed this problem. Even other mlb.com web pages do fine. -WBE ---------- Crash Annotation GraphicsCriticalError: |[0][GFX1]: Failed 2 buffer db=0x0x0 dw=0x0x0 for -139905, 0, 141001, 716[GFX1]: Failed 2 buffer db=0x0x0
