The pre-built libreoffice binary in the PC-BSD "App Cafe" was built with the option for PGSQL=off. On Saturday afternoon, 1/9/16 at approx 3:00 PM CST, I used the portsnap tool to update my ports tree. I then proceeded to build my own editors/libreoffice package after using "make config" so that the options were the same as the PC-BSD build, only with PGSQL=on. Options listed below: CUPS=on GNOME=off GTK2=on GTK3=on JAVA=on KDE4=on MMEDIA=off PGSQL=on SDK=off SYSTRAY=on TEST=off VERBOSE=off WEBDAV=off The resulting libreoffice Base allows one to attempt to connect to postgres (I've verified that I can use the 'psql' command line tool on the system to connect to the desired database). When one clicks the "test connection" button, a message pops up "Connection Test The connection was established successfully." However, when one clicks the "Finish" button (with Yes, register the database for me, Open the database for editing), it says "LibreOffice Document Recovery...Due to an unexpected error, LibreOffice crashed. All the files you were working on will now be saved. The next time LibreOffice is launched, your files will be recovered automatically. The following filews will be recovered:" I've tried running libreoffice from the command line to see if any "clues" are given as to 'what' the unexpected error is. I've looked everywhere I know to look for error messages, but cannot find any... Is this a known problem? If not, how can I help "debug" / troubleshoot it so it can be fixed? libreoffice Base on my Windows, Mac and Linux PC's *ARE* able to connect to the postgres database, and (at least) read information from the tables therein...
