I can get more information if necessary to help troubleshoot. As much as possible I tried to compile the base xorg/xorg-minimal without any additional options set when prompted. Specifically, I have a Sun Ultra 60 with dual Creator3D graphics cards that I'd like to see if I can get up and running with X and a few other things. I do periodic package builds (well, subsets), but I mainly focus on server-class ports these days. So, I don't remember off the top of my head what the state of those ports is. I am traveling and thus it is awkward for me to access my build machine right now. My first suggestion is that you try to downgrade the default gcc to 4.9 (the last one I have gotten much coverage with) and try again. mcl From owner-freebsd-sparc64@freebsd.org Sat Sep 9 19:52:57 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-sparc64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B19E9E05F55 for ; Sat, 9 Sep 2017 19:52:57 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from raparkhurst@digitalsynapse.io) Received: from sender-of-o52.zoho.com (sender-of-o52.zoho.com [135.84.80.217]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 813567660F for ; Sat, 9 Sep 2017 19:52:56 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from raparkhurst@digitalsynapse.io) Received: from [10.10.0.110] (cpe-66-68-160-213.austin.res.rr.com [66.68.160.213]) by mx.zohomail.com with SMTPS id 1504986764452146.96058269741548; Sat, 9 Sep 2017 12:52:44 -0700 (PDT) User-Agent: Microsoft-MacOutlook/f.20.0.170309 Date: Sat, 09 Sep 2017 14:52:41 -0500 Subject: Re: Xorg question on FreeBSD 11.1 From: Robert Parkhurst To: Mark Linimon CC: FreeBSD-sparc64 Message-ID: <1CD52BED-3135-4ED0-A73F-500B1B133B05@digitalsynapse.io> Thread-Topic: Xorg question on FreeBSD 11.1 References: <1504912654.4543.5.camel@digitalsynapse.io> <20170909171502.GA22562@lonesome.com> In-Reply-To: <20170909171502.GA22562@lonesome.com> Mime-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable X-ZohoMailClient: External X-BeenThere: freebsd-sparc64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the Sparc List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 09 Sep 2017 19:52:57 -0000 I kind of figured.
