I built a kernel without any USB devices. I boot to single user and, when I load the USB device drivers, everything works. I can plug in a thumb drive = and it works normally. If I boot and load the USB drivers at the "ok" loader prompt and then boot,= the USB fails. I can only guess that, with the 4.0 compiled kernel, ehci or usb load before something is ready and it fails to properly initialize. Not sure where to go from here, but I will update my stable system to the latest and see how things work. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-usb@freebsd.org Mon Apr 24 05:29:28 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-usb@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B86A7D4DDB3 for ; Mon, 24 Apr 2017 05:29:28 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id A85C6199F for ; Mon, 24 Apr 2017 05:29:28 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id v3O5TSH1060438 for ; Mon, 24 Apr 2017 05:29:28 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 218800] USB Keyboard Interrupts messing with VGA Output Date: Mon, 24 Apr 2017 05:29:28 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: usb X-Bugzilla-Version: 11.0-STABLE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: kylecook80@gmail.com X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: freebsd-usb@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-usb@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD support for USB List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 24 Apr 2017 05:29:28 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D218800 --- Comment #12 from Kyle --- Do you have the possibility to build a kernel w/o uhci, and then try to rel= oad this driver after boot? Today ifconfig wlan0 scan showed only th= ree APs instead of about 30 like yesterday. After repeating it several times wi= th the same result I shutdown, rebooted and now it shows 30 again but an AP in= 3 meters distance is sometimes present and sometimes missing.
