Regarding acpidump,=20 1) Without "-t" I don't see anything on stdout. 2) With "-t" I can see the RSD PTR, XSDT, FACP and FACS tables printed in s= aid order and just hangs after that (I will just clarify what details I can sha= re and paste those tables here). Both are undefined behavior, but the Cavium behavior seems to be more weird (setting a reserved bit and hoping it is ignored).=20 Perhaps we can put '#ifdef __arm64__' around the res->Type part of the chec= k? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-acpi@freebsd.org Thu Feb 21 23:04:03 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-acpi@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id AB8CA14F52C2 for ; Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:03 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 41BB36C666 for ; Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:03 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 002A914F52C0; Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:03 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: acpi@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E216114F52BD for ; Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 7E09E6C660 for ; Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id B65A67F3 for ; Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:01 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x1LN41mH008910 for ; Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:01 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x1LN41sr008909 for acpi@FreeBSD.org; Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:01 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: acpi@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 231760] FreeBSD 12.0-ALPHA7 Installations Halts at ACPI on 4 different AMD Ryzen Laptops (HP, DELL, Huawei) Date: Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:01 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: kern X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: patch X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: jhb@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: bugs@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-acpi@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: ACPI and power management development List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 21 Feb 2019 23:04:03 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D231760 --- Comment #14 from John Baldwin --- In terms of the dump, what I would want to see is if there are any _INI met= hods trying to do PCI accesses, and if so I'd have probably want to see what is = in the _INI method. It might also be a _REG method rather than an _INI method. The other thing to do is to do a backtrace for the register read of 0xb to = see where that happens (probably from the same _REG/_INI method though) and may= be add some debug tracing in ACPICA to see how much farther it gets before rebooting. There might be existing ACPICA debug tracing knobs you can turn= on that will show that already. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-acpi@freebsd.org Fri Feb 22 14:23:37 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-acpi@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4824314ED189 for ; Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:37 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 95B0C6E860 for ; Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:36 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 591AE14ED186; Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:36 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: acpi@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 432E514ED184 for ; Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:36 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id D11936E85B for ; Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:35 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id EB0BF9080 for ; Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:34 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x1MENYjM060848 for ; Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:34 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x1MENYxN060847 for acpi@FreeBSD.org; Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:34 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: acpi@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 231760] FreeBSD 12.0-ALPHA7 Installations Halts at ACPI on 4 different AMD Ryzen Laptops (HP, DELL, Huawei) Date: Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:33 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: kern X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: patch X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: rajfbsd@gmail.com X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: bugs@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-acpi@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: ACPI and power management development List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 22 Feb 2019 14:23:37 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D231760 --- Comment #15 from Rajesh --- (In reply to John Baldwin from comment #14) I re-did the acpidump with Linux on the same machine. It goes smooth. But F= ACP shows DSDT as 0 (opposite to what I said earlier). Other than that, I could dump all tables properly in Linux. Had a quick check about PCIe config space access from _INI method (from the dump collected with Linux). As I understand, seems there is no PCIe config space access from _INI methods. But, I will just confirm again about that. = The backtrace for address 0xb is same as what I posted here earlier(for 0x24). I will try to understand that path. Will keep you posted. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.=
